Henry makes collegiate pitching debut
TUSCON, Ariz. — Jared Henry of Washington made his collegiate debut for Cornell College on Saturday, starting the second game of the Rams’ doubleheader against Northland College at the Kino Sports Complex in Tuscon, Ariz.
Unfortunately, Henry allowed seven runs, six of which were earned, on seven hits over five innings as Cornell lost 9-7 and fell to 1-3 on the season. The freshman right-hander struck out two batters and walked five.
Henry, a 2012 graduate of Washington High School, was a member of Demon squads that made back-to-back trips to the state baseball tournament in 2011 and 2012. In his two seasons as a varsity pitcher for the Demons, he compiled a record of 11-5 with a 2.93 earned run average. He is the son of Marc and Rhonda Henry.
