Highland boys fall to Louisa-Muscatine
RIVERSIDE – The Highland High School boys’ basketball team dropped a home SEISC conference game to the Louisa-Muscatine Falcons, 58 – 55 on Tuesday, Jan. 21.
The Huskies let a 29 – 22 lead slip away in the second half as the Falcons rallied to score 36 points in the final 16 minutes of play.
Highland shot 50 percent (22/44) from the field in the game. The Huskies went 3/13 from 3-point range and 8/13 from the free-throw line. The Huskies also totaled eight assists, nine blocks and eight steals.
Senior Josh Brase led the Huskies in points with 21. Senior Colin Sexton led the team with 13 rebounds. Sophomore Cheyanne Adamson had five assists. Senior Jesse Wollrab and senior Chris Ford tied for the lead with three assists apiece. Ford and freshman Trent Lasek both had two assists. Sexton had four blocked shots.
The loss drops Highland’s record to 8-6 overall, 8-5 in the SEISC. The Huskies are on the court again on Friday, Jan. 24 at home against WACO.
