Hospital board holds public hearing
The Washington County Hospital and Clinics will hold a public hearing at 4 p.m. and a board meeting at 4:10 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 28, in the Robert J. Nicola conference room at the hospital.
The public hearing is for the 2013/2014 county budget — presentation of the budget for board discussion, open meeting for public discussion, and voting on the county budget.
The board meeting agenda includes: finance committee reports — January financial reports, disbursement summary, and capital equipment requests of cardiac stress test treadmill system and hot water heater; personnel/credentials — request for credentials; work force excellence report; management reports on patient satisfaction and marketing; CEO report; building survey; review of meeting record; and planning next meeting agenda. Closed sessions are scheduled before adjournment, for Peer Review Report according to State of Iowa Code Chapter 21.5 (1)(l), and Strategic Planning according to State of Iowa Code Chapter 21.5 (1) (l): “To discuss patient care quality and process improvement initiatives."
