Workers demolished the house sitting at 415 W. Madison St. today. The house was the site of a meth raid on March 18 and was declared hazardous due to meth contamination. On Nov. 6, the Washington City Council voted to remove the building. City administrator Brent Hinson said today that the debris of the house will be taken to SEMCO in Richland. He said that the city had worked with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources to ensure the building was safe to be landfilled.
