MUSCATINE — Howard Eugene “Gene” Darnell, 78, of Muscatine, died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, in Trinity West Medical Center in Rock Island.
Memorial service will be held from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., Monday, Oct. 22, at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Muscatine. Burial will be in Overman Cemetery at a later date. Military rites will be by the combined units of the VFW Post 1565 and American Legion Post 27. A general memorial fund has been established.
