Huskies for health

Members of the Highland High School National Honor Society and a couple of friends kicked off the Live Healthy Iowa 10 Week Challenge for Health at Ainsworth Elementary this morning. The challenge begins Monday and runs through April 5.     The Washington County Obesity Task Force has teamed up with area schools to sponsor the challenge. Students will log daily activities as well as changes in diet and using electronic devices less. At Highland, every student is paired up with a team and results will be posted. The results will be logged into the state Live Healthy Web site.     Included in the lineup are Huskie Drew Kirk, son of Jason and Brenda Kirk;  Josh Brase, son of  Tom and Mary Brase;  Kathy Vasquez, daughter of Sandra Vasquez and Pedro Vasquez; David Strabala, son of John and Julie Strabala;  Michael Wide, son of Dan and Heidi Wide; Chris Ford, son of Martha and David Ford; Power Panther James Portman, son of Tarrell and Gerald Portman; and Kali Crebs, daughter of Tina Crebs and Randy Crebs.
