“There were some good holes played in our first meet of the year, but inconsistency in early season rounds cost us quite a few shots,” IMS head coach Steve Nelson said.
We were pleased with the opportunity to play and the wins. We have some players who are beginning the season on a strong note and some who will benefit from a few days of good practice weather. The girls are working hard and showing improvement,” Columbus Community head coach Tony Simmons added.
Columbus Community will hit the links again on Monday, April 14 at Cedar Crest Country Club against conference opponent Wapello. IMS also faces Wapello next, but does so tomorrow at Indian Hills Golf Course.
