KALONA — There are several opportunities for young students in the community to play some basketball during halftime of IMS varsity games over the next couple of weeks:

Friday, Jan. 11 (IMS vs. Lone Tree): fifth- and sixth-grade girls

Tuesday, Jan. 15 (IMS vs. WACO): third- and fourth-grade girls

Tuesday, Jan. 22 (IMS vs. Pekin): third- and fourth-grade boys

Friday, January 25 (IMS vs. Winfield-Mt. Union): seventh- and eighth-grade girls.
