The Washington City Council discussed work done on the Washington tennis courts during the regular meeting Wednesday. City administrator Brent Hinson refered to the work as “it’s OK” and said that he wasn’t impressed until the finishing was put on. Council member Bob Shellmyer said the courts didn’t look good. Hinson said that comments can be passed on to the park board. He said resurfacing the courts would have doubled the cost. Council member Bob Shepherd said some of his constituents have asked the city hold paying the retainage.
