Keota, IMS wrap up girls’ golf seasons
Iowa Mennonite and Keota both wrapped up their golf seasons on Monday afternoon in the state district meet in New London.
Keota’s Grace Shemanski was the low scorer out of both teams, finishing in 14th after shooting a 111 for 18 holes. Keota only had two individuals compete, the other being Madison Sieren (134, for 23rd) and was not listed in the team scores.
As a team, IMS finished fifth out of six teams, with a team score of 513, behind Danville (508), Sigourney (429), Winfield- Mt. Union (401), and the champion New London (366).
IMS was led by Liza Brennsmen’s 112 which was good for 16th overall, followed by Michaela Prihoda who carded a 125 for 19th place.
Rounding out the team were Elizabeth Yoder (135) and and Abbie DeWild (141).
The top two teams and five individuals qualified for the next round of the postseason.
