The Kiwanis AMers met Friday, Oct. 25 at the Washington Community Y, with three Builders Club members and one guest, Reece Mayer. Twenty-two members were present.
President Matt Brown reported the board meeting will be Nov. 2 at HyVee. Curt Mayer announced seven members attended the Builders Club meeting. Matt Brown asked if any members want to work on the Habitat for Humanity house, members interested may contact him.
Curt Mayer inducted Brandon Murphy and Sam Donnelly as the seventh- and eighth-grade representatives of Builders Club. They will be running the Builders Canned Food Drive for the Kiwanis Secret Santa.
Curt announced the Spaghetti Supper is scheduled for Feb. 12. He passed out posters and a timeline; and he is looking for volunteers to work on the committees. Ticket sales are going to start soon.
Brown announced that a committee is forming to sell sponsorship packages to local businesses — a one-time donation for the Golf, Relay for Life, and Spaghetti Supper projects. Matt also said the club needs fundraising ideas this year.
Lonny Milligan reported that Secret Santa applications to DHS are due by Thanksgiving.
