The Kiwanis AM’ers met Friday, Jan. 11, at the Washington Community Y, with 23 members present.
President Harald Gruber scheduled a board meeting for Jan. 12.
The mid-year conference will be Feb. 2 in Council Bluffs.
Lonny Milligan reported on the Secret Santa project. The club gained 72 man-hours. Twenty members were involved and 18 Builders Club members participated. Fourteen boxes of extra food were donated to HACAP.
Treasurer Ted Drain urged members to make calls and contacts for the spaghetti supper on Feb. 6, at the high school. He said sales are slow this year. Pat Smith reported the tickets for kindergarteners would be available soon. Spaghetti Super chairman Curt Mayer reported that school tours will be held that night from 5 to 6:30 p.m. The walk-through at the high school kitchen will begin at 1:45 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23. The club's Feb. 1 meeting will be held at the high school.
Kevin Erpelding reported that raffle tickets will be available soon.
The program was given by Becky Harkema, director of the Y. The Y is emphasizing youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
