Library art

Jul 02, 2014

The Washington City Council Tuesday got a look at two proposed murals that may go on the south wall of the Washington Public Library. The works were created by University of Iowa artist Erin Rapperty. Library director Debbie Stanton said that the library board has not approved one, but the library is hoping to move forward with the project. Stanton said the mural will be at no cost to the library or the city. The project is part of the Iowa Initative for Sustainable Communities.
