Washington Community Schools

Grades 6-12

Monday: Vegetable bar (served daily), chicken wrap or tuna salad wrap, romaine & tomato mix, savory rice, stir-fry veggies, fresh watermelon, fresh fruit cup. Tuesday: Spaghetti w/meat sauce or tuna noodle crunch, seasoned peas, fresh grapes, applesauce, T-roll. Wednesday (1:10 dismissal; prof. development): Chicken & noodles, mashed potatoes, honey-glazed carrots, fresh apple, apricots, cherry crisp. Thursday: Taco on whole-wheat tortilla shell, shredded lettuce & salsa, or taco soup w/whole-grain corn chips, refried beans, fresh cantaloupe, pineapple tidbits, cinnamon puff. Friday: Pig in a blanket, oven fries, broccoli w/cheese, fresh orange wedges, sliced pears.

St. James

Monday: Hamburger on whole grain bun, sweet potato puffs, pineapple slices. Tuesday: Crunchy beef tacos w/salsa, refried beans, strawberries & bananas. Wednesday: Turkey burger on whole grain bun, broccoli & carrots, fresh orange halves. Thursday: Sausage pizza, whole kernel corn, peaches, blueberry yogurt parfait. Friday: Barbecued rib sandwich, creamy coleslaw, fruit cocktail.

Columbus

Monday: Grilled chicken on wheat bun, or cold entrée (offered daily, grades 4-12), french fries, carrot coins, melon. Tuesday: Breakfast for lunch: pancakes & sausage, egg & cheese omelet, Tri-Tater, orange or tomato. Wednesday: Spaghetti w/meat sauce, bread stick, garden spinach salad, diced pears. Thursday: Soft shell taco, Spanish rice, refried beans, pineapple. Friday: Chicken quesadilla, corn salsa w/corn chips, orange slices.

Highland

Monday: Vegetable bar (offered daily, grades 6-12), fresh fruit bowl (offered daily, grades 9-12), turkey & cheese deli wrap, lettuce/ranch, baked beans, crisp carrots, sliced apples, Lay’s baked chips/Sun chips. Tuesday: Goulash, WG bread stick, steamed broccoli, purple grapes, strawberry yogurt (HS). Wednesday: Chicken noodle soup, crackers, steamed carrots, celery sticks/ranch, diced peaches, cereal mix. Thursday: Beef taco bake, lettuce, delicious corn, diced pears, cottage cheese, bread stick (HS). Friday: Pork tenderloin, WG bun, California blend, sliced cucumbers, warm sliced apples, fruit roll-up (HS).

Iowa Mennonite School

Monday: Pepperoni pizza bagel, spring salad mix, baby carrots, fruit. Tuesday: Salisbury steak, baked potato, steamed corn, WW roll & butter. Wednesday: Chicken wrap, mixed fruit, fresh broccoli, pasta salad. Thursday: Hamburger on bun, oven-baked curly fries, marinated cucumbers, tomato slice. Friday: Cook’s choice.

Mid-Prairie

Monday: Pepperoni pizza bagel, spring salad mix, baby carrots w/spicy lemon hummus, fresh pear. Tuesday: Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes, brown gravy, steamed corn, whole-wheat roll & butter, fresh strawberries. Wednesday: Honey mustard wrap, mixed fresh fruit, fresh broccoli, Italian bean & pasta salad, applesauce cake. Thursday: Hamburger on a WG bun, oven-baked curly fries, marinated cucumbers, tomato slice, green & red grapes. Friday: Cook’s choice.

WACO

Monday: Chef salad (offered daily, HS), teriyaki chicken, brown rice, winter blend, grape tomatoes, fruit cocktail. Tuesday: Pulled turkey/WG bun, onion rings, baby carrots, frozen fruit. Wednesday: WG spaghetti/meat sauce, spinach salad, WG bread stick, apple. Thursday: Beef burrito/cheese sauce, refried beans, salsa/sour cream, Mexicali corn, pears. Friday: No school.

Senior Dining

Washington Community Y

Monday: Swedish meatballs, noodles, spinach, fresh fruit, sherbet cup. Tuesday: Roast turkey, mashed potatoes/gravy, asparagus cuts, melon cup, dessert, wheat bread. Wednesday: Baked chicken, oven-browned potatoes, tomato cucumber salad, pears, pudding, wheat bread. Thursday: Beef macaroni casserole, peas, spinach salad, banana, wheat bread. Friday: Cook’s Choice: Barbecued ribette/bun, cheese, hash brown casserole, green beans, fruit cocktail, cookie.

Wellman — Goodwin Senior Dining Center

Monday: Beef luncheon, mashed potatoes & gravy, Brussels sprouts, strawberry- peach Jell-O. Tuesday: Sweet & sour meatballs, rice, steamed kale, strawberries & bananas, lemon cheesecake. Wednesday: Chicken, potato salad, cucumber salad, melon, chocolate pudding. Thursday: Fish, baked potato half, peas & carrots, cool pie. Friday: Chicken salad, fresh broccoli, cantaloupe, oatmeal cookie.
