Washington Community Schools

Grades 6-12

Monday: Vegetable bar (served daily), chicken tetrazzini or baked potato w/chili, steamed corn on the cob, pineapple & bananas, whole-wheat bread stick. Tuesday: Sloppy joe on bun or grilled chicken on bun, oven-baked fries, baby carrots w/hummus, fresh fruit cup, strawberries. Wednesday (1:10 dismissal, prof. development): Baked chicken drumstick, savory rice, cheese potatoes, marinated fresh vegetable salad, fresh pear, T-roll. Thursday: Beef & noodles or barbecued pork on bun, mashed potatoes w/gravy, fresh orange wedges, apricots, Rice Krispie bar. Friday: Cowboy cavatina or orange chicken w/brown rice, roasted squash, seasoned peas, fresh grapes, diced pears, honey apple crisp.

St. James

Monday: Chicken spaghetti, romaine salad mix, fruit cocktail, whole grain wheat crackers. Tuesday: Scrambled eggs & ham, oven hash browns, fresh oranges, cinnamon roll. Wednesday: Cheese pizza, green beans, blushing pears. Thursday: Breaded chicken patty, seasoned peas, peaches, wheat roll & jelly. Friday: Sloppy joe on wheat bun, baked beans, sweet potato puffs, fresh grapes.

Columbus

Monday: Pork fritter on wheat bun, or cold entrée (offered daily, grades 4-12), baked beans, cottage cheese, pineapple. Tuesday: Chicken nuggets, cheesy potatoes, California blend, strawberries & bananas. Wednesday: Lasagna, garden spinach salad, Texas toast, peaches. Thursday: Turkey & noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans, hot roll, diced pears. Friday: Sloppy jo on wheat bun, sweet potato puffs, orange slices.

Highland

Monday: Veggie bar (served daily, MS, HS), fruit bowl (served daily, HS), baked potato, ham & cheese sauce, broccoli florets, EG bread stick & Goldfish, grapes & strawberries. Tuesday: Sausage, egg & cheese, homemade angel biscuit, potato puffs, crunchy carrots, cereal mix. Wednesday: Mandarin orange chicken, WG brown rice, peas & carrots, cherry tomatoes, orange smiles, Jell-O squares. Thursday: Turkey & cheese sub, shredded lettuce, baked beans, diced peaches, baked Lay’s. Friday: Lasagna, WG garlic bread, lettuce salad & dressing, diced pears, rainbow sherbet cup, cottage cheese (HS).

Iowa Mennonite School

Monday: Taco, Mexican rice, refried beans, steamed corn. Tuesday: Chicken gravy on WG biscuit, steamed baby carrots/peas. Wednesday: McRibb on a WG bun, broccoli mac & cheese, cherry tomatoes, fresh pear. Thursday: Italian pasta bake, spinach salad w/grape tomatoes, green & red pepper strips. Friday: Pancakes, sausage, hash brown potatoes, fruit.

Mid-Prairie

Monday: Beef enchiladas, Mexican rice, refried beans, steamed corn, peaches. Tuesday: Chicken gravy on a WG biscuit, steamed baby carrots, steamed peas, fresh citrus fruit cup. Wednesday: McRibb on a WG bun, broccoli mac & cheese, cherry tomatoes, fresh pineapple. Thursday: Italian pasta bake, spinach salad w/grape tomatoes, green & red pepper strips, garlic bread, apple slices. Friday: French toast, oven-baked Tri-Taters, sausage links, steamed green beans, orange juice.

WACO

Monday: Chef salad (offered daily, HS), omelet, sausage patty, Tri-Tater, green peppers, bread, juice. Tuesday: Chicken a la king on a WG biscuit, green beans, grape tomatoes, mandarin oranges. Wednesday: Fish sticks, macaroni & cheese, baked beans, banana. Thursday: Tater Tot casserole, peas, white cake, strawberries. Friday: No school.

Senior Dining

Monday: Glazed pork cutlet, mashed potatoes/gravy, spinach, wheat bread, orange whip. Tuesday: Sweet/sour chicken, brown rice, Brussels sprouts, fresh fruit, ice cream cup. Wednesday: Cook’s choice. Thursday: Roast beef sandwich, fresh vegetables, strawberries, vanilla ice cream cup. Friday: Chicken noodle casserole, peas, spinach salad, wheat bread, fresh fruit.

Wellman — Goodwin Senior Dining Center

Monday: Sweet & sour pork, rice, Brussels sprouts, banana, fruited yogurt. Tuesday: Ground beef gravy, mashed potatoes, lima beans, surprise salad, cookie. Wednesday: Salisbury steak, O’Brien potatoes, scalloped cabbage, fruit. Thursday: Hot roast beef, mashed potatoes & gravy, peas, strawberries. Friday: Salmon loaf, baked potato half, creamy slaw, orange whip, Key lime bar.
