Master Gardeners do spring cleaning
The gloves were on and rakes and shovels in hand as the Washington County Master Gardeners completed spring cleaning of the flower beds at the fairgrounds. Sixteen people gathered to spruce up the gardens around the historic railroad depot, schoolhouse, polygonal barn and extension building.
The group held a business meeting at Unc & Neph’s after the cleanup. Applications were reviewed for the Master Gardener scholarship. The annual plant sale will be held on Saturday, May 17, at the fairgrounds beginning at 8 a.m. A variety of plants will be sold.
