Members prepare for fair

The regular meeting of the Prairie Pride 4-H Club was held at the Extension office on June 23, 2013. The meeting was called to order by Sarah Greiner at 5:14 p.m. The Pledge was led by Ellie Bell. Roll call was answered by 32 members by saying one of your projects for the fair. The minutes of the previous meeting was given by Morgan Brinning and approved by Gracie Greiner and Isabel Bailey. The treasurer’s report was given by Morgan Brinning and approved by Gracie Greiner and Payton Cuddeback. In old business, discussion was held about various trips and project meetings. Members were reminded to continue watering and weeding the flowerbed on their assigned week. In new business the fair is in a few weeks. Members should make sure all papers are filled out and they have followed the rules for the projects and animals. Members should make sure to keep all newspaper clippings for record books. Members should sign up for state fair entries online, but need to pay at the Extension office. The meeting was adjourned with the 4-H pledge led by Allison Hippen. After the meting, refreshments were served. Presentations were given by Kaylee Vogel—Easy 1-2-3 Peanut Butter Cookies, Teresa Anders—Karlton’s Corn Dip, Brenna Burlingame—3 wet & 3 dry, Molly Sparks and Madelyn Janacek—Homemade Salsa, Sophia Kleese—Chocolaty pretzel sticks, and Holly Vittetoe—4-H Record Book.
