Mid-Prairie and Keota boards meet
WELLMAN — Now in the fourth year of a sharing agreement between their districts, the Mid-Prairie and Keota Boards of Education in a work session in Keota Monday discussed the future of the arrangement. Currently, Keota shares the services of Mid-Prairie’s superintendent, business manager and technology director. There also have been offers for shared classes.
During the session, the Keota board agreed there will have to be review of the future of the shared agreement, noting likely in March or April of next year. In the original discussions, both boards informally set a five-year period for the present arrangement.
Prior to the work session, the two boards held a closed meeting for their annual evaluation of the superintendent. No action followed when the board returned to open session
