Mid-Prairie looks good in friendly against Solon

Apr 01, 2014

SOLON – The ninth-ranked in Class 1A Mid-Prairie boys’ soccer team played a friendly match against No. 13 in Class 2A Solon on Saturday, March 29.
“We had some starters missing which allowed us to really take advantage of the scrimmage. We got some younger guys in on defense. Solon was able to put a couple in the net early but we made some defensive adjustments and were able to control the game the rest of the way. I was happy to see us put one in the net. Our JV kids looked good and I’m really happy with the leadership I saw out there. We competed with a good Solon team and I think we’re going to look even better at full strength,” Golden Hawk head coach Pat Cady commented.
The Mid-Prairie boys have their first match on Saturday, April 5 at the Newton Tournament.
