Mid-Prairie to host forums
Beginning next Monday the Mid-Prairie Community School District will have open house community forums to discuss the upcoming April 1 bond referendum for $10.6 million.
The goal of the open house community forums is to provide voters in the district with an opportunity to ask questions about the bond referendum and to look at the district’s current facilities.
According to the school district’s Web site, the first open house community forum will be held at the Middle School and Kalona Elementary School Monday evening. On Tuesday, March 18, a public forum will be held at West Chester United Methodist Church; Wednesday, March 19, Mid-Prairie High School and Wellman Elementary School; and the final one will be held on Thursday, March 20, at Washington Township Elementary. All of the open house community forums will be from 6 – 8 p.m.
People in the Mid-Prairie Community School District can stop by anytime during the forum hours, the Web site said.
