Mid-Prairie trounces Williamsburg
WELLMAN – The No. 3 in Class 1A Mid-Prairie High School boys’ soccer team hosted Williamsburg in a non-conference match last night. The Williamsburg defense fell in front of the Golden Hawk attack like the raindrops did from the sky, leading to a 7 – 0 Mid-Prairie victory.
The senior duo of Wyatt Cady and Austin Errthum combined for four goals in the match. Single goals were added by junior Abduhl Msabah, senior Dayton Hall and senior Dustin Yoder.
Errthum added two assists. Cady, Hall, freshman Ryan Harapat, junior Maher Sanalla and senior Nick Stimson all had assists.
Senior Nathan Faselt played all 80 minutes as keeper for Mid-Prairie. He finished the match with three saves.
The Golden Hawks are now 5 – 1 overall, 0 – 1 in the River Valley Conference. Mid-Prairie goes on the road to take on No. 11 in Class 1A Albia in another non-conference match on Thursday, April 24.
