FORT DODGE — Mid-Prairie senior Mallory McArtor wrapped up her cross-country career with a second straight top-20 finish at the state meet in Fort Dodge.

McArtor, who finished 18^th last year, took 20^th place in the Class 2A race on Saturday at Lakeside Municipal Golf Course. She crossed the finish line in 15:47.

Meanwhile, the Mid-Prairie boys’ cross-country team took 12^th place out of 15 teams in Class 2A on Saturday. The Golden Hawks tallied 276 points.

Sophomore Jared Draper finished 55^th in 17:26 to lead the Golden Hawks, and freshman Ryan Errthum crossed the finish line one second later in 57^th place. Junior Ty Feigenspan came in 76^th in 17:46, and senior Jake O’Donnell finished one second later in 78^th place. Junior Evan Wild’s 94^th-place finish in 18:08 rounded out the scoring. Junior Zeb Schwartz finished 107^th in 18:26, and junior Wyatt Cady was 110^th in 18:35.
