No. 10 IMS tops WACO

WAYLAND — WACO trimmed the IMS lead to 11 in the fourth quarter of Tuesday’s Southeast Iowa Super Conference North Division game in Wayland, but IMS senior Peyton Thompson answered with a 3-pointer to give his team a 55-41 lead with four minutes remaining. No. 10 IMS held on to win 66-45.

Senior Cameron Gingerich scored 19 points on 9-for-12 shooting to lead IMS (2-1, 2-1 SEISC North), and he also had five steals. Junior Dallas Nye added a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds, and Thompson finished with 11 points and five assists. Junior Reggie Hostetler chipped in 10 points, five rebounds and three blocked shots.

Junior Dylon Carlson scored a game-high 24 points to lead the Warriors (2-1, 2-1 SEISC North), and he also grabbed 12 rebounds.
