No. 14 Mid-Prairie falls to No. 4 Regina

WELLMAN — Mid-Prairie seniors Meghan Redlinger and Kattie Redlinger both scored a pair of goals in Monday’s match against visiting Iowa City Regina, but the 14th-ranked Golden Hawks lost to the fourth-ranked Regals 9-5.

Sisters Katie and Jenny Wick scored four goals apiece for Regina, which improved to 5-0 on the season. Senior Tori Lust added a goal and a pair of assists, and freshman Lizzy Deprenger also had two assists. Both Wicks and junior Mia Boldt each chipped in an assist.

Sophomore Alison Riggan also scored a goal for the Golden Hawks (4-2). Meghan Redlinger assisted two goals, and Kattie Redlinger also had an assist. Junior Bailie Harris made 17 saves in goal, but allowed nine shots to slip by her.
