Arrests

Tracy Lee Milford, 38, of Washington, was arrested Friday afternoon in the 100 block of North Fourth Avenue in Washington for delivery of a controlled substance.

Ryan James Neveau, 23, of Washington, was arrested Friday afternoon in the 500 block of North 12th Avenue in Washington for delivery of a controlled substance.

Kevin Baldemar Trevino, 25, of Washington, was arrested Friday night in the 1100 block of East Third Street in Washington for felony possession of a firearm and two counts of prohibited acts.

Felicia Marie Linhart, 31, of East Prairie, Mo., was arrested Saturday afternoon at Highway 218 and Vine Avenue in Ainsworth for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of prescription drugs.

Christopher Nicholas Boyum Cameron, 21, of Washington, was arrested Sunday evening in the 500 block of South B Avenue in Washington for OWI and possession of a controlled substance.

 

Traffic accidents

A vehicle vs. deer accident was reported Friday evening at Lexington Boulevard and Highway 1 in Washington. The vehicle was not drivable. Officers responded.

A caller reported hitting a deer Friday evening in the 3300 block of Fir Avenue in Brighton. The vehicle was drivable. The incident was documented.

A vehicle was reported upside down in a ditch in the 1400 block of Riverside Road in Riverside. Officers advised the vehicle was unoccupied.

 

Traffic other

A caller in the 500 block of South Iowa Avenue in Washington reported Friday afternoon that a vehicle had struck the mirror on a parked vehicle. Information was exchanged. The incident was documented.

 

Fire calls

A caller in the 3300 block of 325th Street in Crawfordsville reported Friday morning that they thought a fire was out, but it had jumped the ditch and was heading toward some buildings. Crawfordsville Fire Department responded. Winfield, Olds and Washington fire departments responded for mutual aid.

An out-of-control field fire was reported Friday afternoon in the 1100 block of Ginkgo Avenue in Wellman. Wellman Fire Department responded. Kalona Fire Department responded for mutual aid.

A grass fire was reported out of control Friday afternoon in the 3100 block of V Avenue in Wellman. Wellman Fire Department responded. North English Fire Department responded for mutual aid.

A fire was reported Friday afternoon at Elm Avenue and 275th Street in Washington. Washington and Brighton fire departments responded.

An out-of-control grass fire was reported Friday afternoon in the 1300 block of Nutmeg Avenue in Kalona. Kalona Fire Department and Kalona QRS responded.

A ditch was reported on fire Friday evening in the 3100 block of 310th Street in Crawfordsville. Crawfordsville Fire Department responded.

A ditch fire was reported Friday evening at Highway 218 and 150th Street in Riverside. Riverside Fire Department responded.

Crawfordsville Fire Department reported Friday night going to the 3100 block of 310th Street in Crawfordsville for a tree stump on fire. The fire was extinguished.

A grass fire was reported getting out of control Saturday evening in the 3100 block of Old White way in Ainsworth. Ainsworth Fire Department responded.

Keota Fire Department was reported en route to an ATV that was on fire at 190th Street and Dogwood Avenue in Keota Saturday evening. The fire was extinguished.

 

Assault

An officer was requested in the 800 block of East Madison Street in Washington to speak with a 13-year-old juvenile in reference to an earlier incident. Officers responded. The incident was documented.

 

Drug/narcotics violation

An officer reported Friday night being on a traffic stop at orange Avenue and Highway 22 in Kalona. Charges are pending.

 

Motor vehicle theft

A caller in the 2200 block of 250th Street in Washington reported Friday night someone had taken her vehicle. Officers responded. The vehicle had been towed at the request of the apartment owner.

A vehicle was reported missing Saturday morning in the 500 block of Park Street in Ainsworth. The vehicle was entered into the system.

 

Burglary

A caller in the 600 block of Sixth Street in Wellman reported Saturday morning that at least two subjects and possibly a third broke into their residence armed with handguns. They took off after her husband, who left the residence. Officers responded. The incident is under investigation.

 

All other thefts

Money and food were reported stolen from a refrigerator in the 200 block of East 15th Street in Washington Friday night. The money was located and returned to the owner.

A caller in the 300 block of West Washington Street in Washington reported Saturday morning that an air conditioner was stolen when a tenant moved out. There was a miscommunication and the subjects will work it out.

 

Intimidation/harassment

A caller in the 2600 block of Wayland Road in Washington reported Friday afternoon a subject was harassing him.

A caller in the 1100 block of East Washington Street in Washington reported Saturday evening that subjects kept driving by and harassing him and his girlfriend. Officers responded.

 

Disorderly conduct

A couple was reported yelling at each other Saturday morning in the 200 block of East 13th Street in Washington. Verbal only. The parties were separated.

A subject was reported out of control Sunday night in the 2200 block of Yucca Avenue in Ainsworth. Officers responded. The subject was given a ride to Washington to stay with a friend.

 

Public intox

A possibly intoxicated subject was reported Sunday night knocking on doors in the 300 block of West Washington Street in Washington. Officers responded.

 

Tobacco violations

Mitchell Dallas Hesseltine, 17, of Brighton, was cited Friday morning in the 1100 block of South B Avenue in Washington for possession of tobacco.

 

Animal complaints

An injured deer was reported Friday morning in the 2900 block of Dogwood Avenue in Brighton. Officers responded.

Three dogs were reported barking non-stop Friday evening in the 600 block of East Second Street in Washington. The dogs weren’t barking on officers’ arrival. The dogs were taken inside.

A caller reported Friday night being chased by a loose pit bull in the 1000 block of East Second Street in Washington.

A caller in the 900 block of East Third Street in Washington reported Saturday morning that a dog was in her yard and causing her dog to bark. Officers located the dog and informed the owner.

Two loose pit bulls were reported Saturday evening in the 800 block of South B Avenue in Washington and a subject was reported trying to locate them who had threatened the caller. Officers responded.

A dead deer was reported Saturday evening at Underwood Avenue and Highway 22 in Riverside. Officers responded.

A loose dog was reported Sunday afternoon in the 300 block of North C Avenue in Washington. Officers were unable to locate.

A barking dog was reported Monday morning in the 600 block of South Fourth Avenue in Washington. Officers responded.

A barking dog was reported Friday evening in the 500 block of South Marion Avenue in Washington.

A caller in the 200 block of East Polk Street in Washington reported smelling gas Friday evening. Officers responded. The smell was coming from a tractor.

Loud music was reported Saturday morning in the 20 block of Parkside Estates Road in Washington. Officers responded. The music was not loud.

All other offenses

A caller in the 200 block of South Widey Boulevard in Washington reported Friday evening that a subject had dumped items in his trashcan. Officers responded.

A subject was reported throwing firecrackers under passing vehicles at North Fourth Avenue and East 17th Street in Washington Saturday evening. Officers were unable to locate.

Several subjects were reported yelling and arguing Saturday night in the 200 block of South Van Buren Street in Brighton. Officers responded. The parties were separated.

Two subjects were reported fighting at a residence in the 700 block of Monroe Street in Ainsworth Sunday night. Officers responded. The subjects left prior to officers’ arrival.

 

Family offense non violent

A caller in the 1100 block of Eighth Avenue in Wellman reported Friday evening he and his girlfriend were in a dispute. An unknown subject had made a threat to the caller over the phone. The female party had left the residence. The incident was documented.

A caller in the 700 block of South Ninth Avenue in Washington reported Saturday evening that her 13-year-old stepson left the residence without permission. The child later returned home.

 

Runaway/missing person

A caller in the 400 block of West Main Street in Washington reported Saturday afternoon that they had a juvenile who was court ordered to be at their facility that left his home residence during a home visit. Officers located the juvenile. He was returned to his residence.

 

Suspicious activity

Suspicious items were reported located Friday afternoon in the 1600 block of Cedar Avenue in Wellman. The incident was documented.

Subjects were reported selling pizzas door-to-door Saturday afternoon in the 300 block of Fifth Street in Wellman. It was for a school function. No problem.

A subject was reported in the 300 block of West Madison Street in Washington Sunday afternoon drinking a can of beer in the bathroom. Officers responded. The subject was banned from the store.

 

Weather related

A caller in the 1900 block of 190th Street in Wellman reported Sunday afternoon seeing a tornado touch down. Weather spotters from Wellman, Kalona and Riverside were paged out. No confirmed sighting. The National Weather Service was calling the sighting a scud cloud.
