Arrests

Christina Mazza, 35, of Kalona, was arrested Tuesday night in the 300 block of A Place in Kalona for domestic abuse assault.

Jonathon Troy Cook, 34, of Washington, was arrested Wednesday morning at railroad Street in Ainsworth for contempt failure to pay fines/costs and failure to appear.

 

Traffic accidents

A two-vehicle accident was reported Tuesday afternoon at 140th Street and Highway 218 in Riverside. Washington County Ambulance, Riverside QRS, Riverside Rescue, officers and the Iowa State Patrol responded. One subject was transported to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. The vehicles were towed.

 

Traffic other

An officer reported Tuesday evening attempting to stop a vehicle travelling down an alley in the 600 block of West Monroe Street in Washington. The operator ran from the vehicle Jesus Antonio Minard, 18, of Washington, was cited for driving under suspension.

 

Fire calls

An electrical box on the side of a house in the 200 block of A Avenue in Kalona was reported on fire Tuesday morning. Kalona Fire Department responded.

 

Assault

A caller in the 500 block of West Madison Street in Washington reported Tuesday night his daughter was assaulted. The incident is under investigation.

 

Drug/narcotics violations

Jason Wayne Marshall Fritz, 17, of Kalona, was cited Tuesday night at Juniper and Highway 22 in Kalona for possession of alcohol under the legal age, and possession of tobacco under the legal age. Charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia are pending.

 

All other thefts

A caller reported losing his wallet somewhere in the City of Washington Tuesday afternoon. Officers were advised.

A bicycle was reported stolen from a garage in the 100 block of West Fountain Street in Brighton Tuesday evening. The incident was documented.

A stolen bicycle was located Tuesday evening in the 400 block of North Benton Street in Brighton. Charges of theft, trespass and interference with official acts were filed on David Alleiyn Hudson, 17, of Brighton.

 

Vandalism

Vandalism was reported Wednesday morning to the Kalona Pool in the 1100 block of E Avenue in Kalona. The incident was documented.

 

Intimidation/harassment

A caller in the 700 block of East 15th Street in Washington reported Tuesday afternoon a subject was harassing her. Officers spoke with both parties.

A caller in the 2600 block of Highway 22 in Riverside reported Tuesday night that a family member was harassing him. Officers spoke with the caller. The incident was documented.

 

Disorderly conduct

An officer was requested Tuesday morning in the 300 block of South Fourth Avenue in Washington for two students who had gotten into a fight. Charges were filed on Odalis Zamudio of Washington and Brittany Storm Lomaneck of Washington for disorderly conduct.

A caller in the 900 block of South Fourth Avenue in Washington reported Tuesday morning that a subject had attempted to take a water heater from her property and when she advised the subject he could not have it, the subject threw items from her junk pile at the house. Officers attempted to locate.

 

Hang up 911 calls

A hang up 911 call was reported received from a residence in the 100 block of South Sixth Street in Kalona. Officers responded. There was a dispute over money between two subjects. A subject was warned if officers had to return he would be charged with disorderly conduct.

 

Suspicious activity

Bejamin Asbury was cited Wednesday morning in the 2600 block of 295th Street in Crawfordsville for driving under suspension.

 

Public service contact

An officer was requested Tuesday afternoon in the 300 block of West Madison Street in Washington. The caller was upset in reference to an incident with the Department of Human Services. Officers were unable to locate the caller.
