Nancy Sue Crawford, 57, of Washington, was arrested Thursday morning in the 400 block of East Washington Street in Washington for probation violation on prohibited acts.
A car vs. state truck accident was reported Wednesday afternoon at the north junction of Highway 1 and Highway 92 in Washington. One subject was reported trapped. Officers, Washington County Ambulance, Washington County Rescue, Washington Fire Department, and the Iowa State Patrol all responded. One subject was transported to the Washington County Hospital and Clinics. The incident is under investigation.
A vehicle was reported parked in a grassy area in the 600 block of North Fifth Avenue in Washington. The tires were reported tearing up the grass and making ruts. Officers spoke with the owner.
An out-of-control field fire was reported Wednesday afternoon at Cedar Avenue and 170th Street in Keota. Keota Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire.
A caller in the 600 block of Golfview Drive in Wellman reported Wednesday morning a credit account was open in her name in Oregon and had charges in the amount of $5,200. Officers spoke with the caller. The incident was documented. The caller was advised to forward information to the FTC.
A caller in the 600 block of Golfview Drive in Wellman reported Wednesday morning someone opened a credit card account in his name and charged $350. Officers spoke with the caller.
A caller in the 300 block of West 18th Street in Washington reported Thursday morning that there was damage to the first and second floor door jams. Officers attempted to contact the manager. The caller later reported a subject in one of the second floor apartments was being loud and it sounded as if he was breaking things. Officers responded and spoke with the subject, who advised he wasn’t being loud and had been sleeping. The incident was documented.
A dog was reported barking non-stop in the 600 block of North Fifth Avenue in Washington Wednesday afternoon. Officers spoke with the owner. A verbal warning was given.
All other offenses
A caller in the 900 block of North Iowa Avenue in Washington reported Wednesday afternoon that a tent blew onto her friend’s property and they didn’t know where it came from Officers responded. There was minor damage to a vehicle. Officers requested fire and rescue for manpower to get the tent dismantled. Washington Fire Department responded and assisted.
Illegal trash burning was reported Wednesday afternoon in the 700 block of North D Avenue in Washington. Officers attempted to contact the homeowner. The incident was documented.
A caller in the 1500 block of North Fourth Avenue in Washington requested to speak with an officer Wednesday afternoon in reference to his son taking his vehicle and two laptop computers without permission. Officers responded. It was a civil issue. The subjects share the use of the items.
