Eleazar Pierre Lozano, 34, of Washington, was arrested Monday afternoon in the 200 block of West Main Street in Washington on a Johnson County warrant for failure to appear for arraignment on an original charge of OWI.
Ashley Leora Seaba, 24, of Brighton, was arrested Monday night in the 300 block of First Street in Kalona on a Washington County warrant for failure to appear contempt of court and other act or omission declared a contempt on an original charge of bad check fifth-degree theft.
A truck was reported on fire Monday evening in the 2800 block of 220th Street in Ainsworth. Officers, Ainsworth Fire and Washington County Ambulance responded. The fire was extinguished. The vehicle was towed.
Motor vehicle theft
Someone reportedly stole a 2013 blue Chevy Sonic Monday evening in the 3300 block of Locust Avenue in Coppock. Officers responded. The vehicle was not stolen. No problem.
All other thefts
A caller in the 900 block of West Madison Street in Washington reported Monday evening that he was missing prescription medication. Officers responded. A report will be filed.
An apartment complex in the 100 block of Fifth Street in Kalona was reported broke into Monday morning. Numerous doors were reported kicked in and the washing machines were broken into and quarters were taken. Officers responded. The incident was documented.
Harassment was reported Monday afternoon in the 200 block of Cedar Street in West Chester. Parties were advised to leave each other alone and contact an attorney.
Liquor law violations
An officer reported Monday morning being in the 1600 block of Highway 22 in Wellman in reference to a request for an alcohol test. Incident occurred on Friday night. Container tested positive for alcohol. School will handle the problem internally.
Three dogs were reported on a property in the 500 block of South Eighth Avenue in Washington Monday afternoon. Officers spoke with the owner.
A dog was reported running loose Monday afternoon in the 200 block of South Marion Avenue in Washington. Officers responded and spoke with the owner.
A caller in the 600 block of East Main Street in Washington reported Monday evening a dog was in her yard. Officers responded. The incident was documented.
Family offense non violent
An 8-year-old girl was reported in the 100 block of Railroad Street in West Chester who was crying and wouldn’t go home. Officers responded. Girl stayed with her grandmother for the night.
A bike was reported left in the 200 block of East Jefferson Street in Washington Monday afternoon. The bike was taken to the bike shed. The incident was documented.
A vehicle was reported parked in the 300 block of East Main Street in Washington Monday night with subjects inside. Officers were unable to locate.
A caller in the 1300 block of North Marion Avenue in Washington reported Monday afternoon that her ex-husband was not following the guidelines of their divorce decree. Officers spoke with the caller. She was advised to call her attorney.
