Arrests

Jacob Allen Eakes, 36, of Riverside, was arrested Thursday morning in the 80 block of West Second Street in Riverside for first-degree burglary.

Ryan Frederick Kimmel, 23, of Ottumwa, was arrested Thursday morning in the 300 block of West Second Street in Ottumwa on a Washington County warrant for probation violation on harassment.

Errol Herley Campbell-Lewis, 36, of Washington, was arrested Thursday morning at East Second Street and North Iowa Avenue in Washington for OWI, turning from an improper lane and violation of restricted license.

Russell Richard Wessling, 49, of Washington, was arrested Thursday morning in the 2100 block of Lexington Boulevard in Washington for violation of the sex offender registry.

Muharem Bahtic, 23, of Kalona, was arrested Thursday evening in the 100 block of Fifth Street in Kalona for probation violation on possession of a controlled substance. The subject is also wanted on two Johnson County warrants for probation violation on OWI and OWI.

Tyler Yoder Lammer, 24, of Kalona, was arrested Friday morning in the 2100 block of Lexington Boulevard in Washington on a Black Hawk County warrant for probation violation for simulated public intoxication.

 

Traffic accidents

An accident was reported Thursday morning in the 200 block of West Madison Street in Washington. Officers responded. Under $1,500 damage was reported. Information was exchanged.

A car accident involving three vehicles was reported Thursday afternoon in the 1500 block of East Washington Street in Washington. Officers responded.

 

Traffic stop serious

Keenan Darnell Alexander, 25, of Washington, was cited Thursday night at Highway 1 and West 18th Street in Washington for driving under suspension. Charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession with intent to deliver are pending.

 

Stolen property

A caller in the 1900 block of 135th Street in Riverside reported Thursday afternoon her checkbook was missing. The incident was documented.

 

Intimidation/harassment

A caller in the 700 block of East Second Street in Washington reported Thursday afternoon a subject was harassing her on the phone and asking her for money. Officers advised the caller of her options. The incident was documented.

 

Animal complaint

A deer was reported on the roadway at 140th and Ginkgo in Wellman Thursday morning. Officers responded.

 

All other offenses

A caller in the 3300 block of V Avenue in Wellman reported Thursday evening a scam and giving out credit card information. Officers were advised. The incident was documented.

 

Family offense non violent

A deputy was requested Thursday morning in the 80 block of West Second Street in Riverside to try to calm down the caller’s girlfriend. Officers responded. The subject had left prior to officers’ arrival. Items were broken. The caller did not wish to pursue charges. The incident was documented.

A caller in the 100 block of South B Avenue in Washington reported Thursday night his wife was intoxicated and causing problems. Officers responded. The subject calmed down.

 

Civil dispute

A caller in the 2600 block of Wayland Road in Washington reported Thursday morning that the landlord came walking through the front door while her ex-boyfriend was there and she had no right to do so. Officers spoke with the subject at the residence ant will make contact with the landlord to advise her to have no further contact with the tenants.

 

Welfare check

A welfare check was requested Thursday evening on a subject in the 3300 block of 190th Street in Columbus Junction. Officers responded. The subject was fine.
