Arrests

Ashley Ladell Martinez Williams, 24, of Iowa City, was arrested Saturday morning in the 3100 block of Highway 22 in Riverside for interference with official acts, assault on a police officer and public intoxication.

Tyler Allan Sieren, 21, of Keota, was arrested Saturday morning in the 3000 block of Highway 22 in Riverside for public intoxication.

Chase Issac Maschmann, 35, of Brighton, was arrested Sunday afternoon in the 200 block of West Madison Street in Brighton for simple assault.

Kylah Elaine Brown, 28, of Brighton, was arrested Sunday afternoon in the 3000 block of Tulip Avenue in Crawfordsville for domestic abuse assault.

Marjorie Luanne Nash, 42, of Wellman, was arrested Sunday evening in the 700 block of East 15th Street in Washington for violation of a no-contact order, harassment and unauthorized computer access.

 

Traffic accidents

A caller reported damage done to the passenger side rear quarter panel of her truck Friday morning in the 2400 block of Highway 92 in Washington. The incident was documented.

A student driver reportedly struck a parked car Saturday morning in the 600 block of South B Avenue in Washington. Alejandra Marie Lonski of Washington was cited for failure to maintain control.

A vehicle reportedly crossed all four lanes of traffic Sunday afternoon on Highway 218 in Ainsworth and hit road signs. Officers were advised.

A vehicle vs. deer accident was reported Monday morning in the 2700 block of Coppock Road in Washington. Officers responded.

 

Traffic other

Shannon Dean Blake, 39, of Kalona, was cited Friday evening in the 100 block of South Sixth Street in Kalona for driving under suspension x8.

Two vehicles were reported Saturday night at 180th and Riverside Road in Riverside traveling at high rates of speed and throwing fireworks and bottle rockets. Officers were unable to locate.

 

Fire calls

A field fire was reported Friday afternoon in the 1200 block of SW 540th Street in Kalona. Kalona Fire Department responded. The fire was extinguished.

A skid steer was reported on fire Saturday afternoon in the 2600 block of SW 470th Street in Kalona. Kalona Fire Department responded.

 

Drug/narcotics violation

Officers reported Friday night doing a consent search on a vehicle in the 700 block of Seventh Avenue in Wellman. Charges are pending.

Drug activity was reported Saturday afternoon in the 2200 block of 250th Street in Washington. Officers were unable to locate any drug activity.

 

All other thefts

A Kindle was reported stolen Friday morning in the 300 block of East Second Street in Washington. Officers were advised.

A caller in the 500 block of South Fourth Avenue in Washington reported Friday afternoon her husband was the victim of identity theft. Officers responded. The incident was documented.

A caller in the 500 block of Park Street in Ainsworth reported Saturday afternoon that when his ex-wife left his residence she took his $500 digital camera. Officers spoke with both subjects. The incident was documented. The camera was later located.

A caller in the 900 block of South Fourth Avenue in Washington reported Sunday evening that a cooler was stolen from her garage. The incident was documented.

A possible theft was reported Sunday evening in the 3000 block of Highway 22 in Riverside. Officers responded. Unfounded.

 

Vandalism

A caller reported Saturday morning hearing sounds in the 200 block of South Main Street in Crawfordsville that sounded as if the grade school was being vandalized. Officers responded. Two subjects were located. No damage had been done.

A lock was reported cut to a storage shed in the 600 block of Second Street in Wellman Saturday afternoon. Officers responded. Two other sheds reportedly had been broken into. Nothing appeared to be missing. The incident was documented.

A vehicle was reported egged Sunday morning in the 800 block of South Iowa Avenue in Washington. Officers were advised.

A caller in the 300 block of East Fifth Street in Washington reported Sunday evening a subject punched the windshield of her vehicle causing it to break. The incident is under investigation.

 

Intimidation/harassment

A caller in the 300 block of East Main Street in Washington reported Sunday morning that two vehicles kept driving past her brother’s residence yelling profanities at them. Officers responded. It was a misunderstanding.

 

Disorderly conduct

A vehicle reportedly entered the bus lane Friday morning in the 700 block of Sixth Street in Kalona going the wrong way. It then did a U-turn causing problems for other drivers. Officers responded.

 

Trespass

A caller in the 500 block of Park Street in Ainsworth reported Friday evening that while he was away from his residence his ex-girlfriend moved in and was refusing to leave. Officers responded. The problem was resolved.

A green jeep was reported on Highway 1 exiting the Kewash Trail in Washington Sunday morning. Officers were unable to locate.

 

Liquor law violations

Anthony A. Garcia, 36, of Jefferson, Ohio, was cited Saturday evening in the 500 block of West Madison Street in Washington for open container.

 

Animal complaints

A welfare check was requested Friday afternoon on a horse that was possibly deceased and a donkey that couldn’t move in the 1900 block of Highway 92 in West Chester. Officers responded.

A possibly mistreated dog was reported Friday evening in the 1300 block of Tulip Avenue in Riverside. Officers responded. No problem.

A loose dog was reported Sunday morning in the 1300 block of East Third Street in Washington. Officers responded. A verbal warning was given.

A barking dog was reported Sunday afternoon in the 800 block of North Eighth Avenue in Washington. Officers responded.

 

DP&Q

A subject in the 2600 block of Wayland Road in Washington reportedly had his music blaring Friday afternoon and it was an ongoing problem. Officers responded. The subject was advised to keep it down.

Loud music was reported Saturday afternoon in the 500 block of North C Avenue in Washington. Officers responded. The music was turned down on arrival.

Several people were presorted being loud at a residence in the 800 block of South Marion Avenue in Washington Sunday morning. Officers responded.

A caller in the City of Wellman reported Sunday afternoon hearing what sounded like the discharge of a firearm. Officers were unable to locate.

 

All other offenses

A bike was reported Friday morning in the 600 block of West Monroe Street in Washington and it had been there for a week. Officers took it to the bike shed.

A bike was reported laying in the grass at North Third and North Second avenues in Washington Friday morning. Officers responded. It was taken to the bike shed.

 

Family offense non violent

A caller in the 500 block of West Madison Street in Washington reported Saturday evening that her son was out of control. Officers responded.

 

Public service contact

An officer was requested Friday morning in the 100 block of North Seventh Avenue in Washington for the caller’s son who was refusing to get ready for school.

A client reportedly walked away from a residence in the 600 block of East Jefferson Street in Washington. Officers responded. The subject was returned.

A welfare check was requested Sunday evening on a subject in the 800 block of East Polk Street in Washington. Officers responded.

 

Welfare check

A welfare check was requested Sunday night in the 1300 block of North Marion Avenue in Washington on a subject who sent suicidal texts. Officers responded.

 

Civil dispute

A caller in the 1400 block of 170th Street in Wellman reported Friday morning that an employee was behaving erratically. The caller requested an officer speak with the employee and tell him that he is no longer welcome there. The subject’s employment hadn’t been terminated at the time. Officers spoke with the caller and advised her to take care of the business end and if the employee shows up after being terminated to call for assistance.
