An officer Thursday afternoon reported being out in the 100 block of North Fourth Avenue in Washington with a parked vehicle with fresh damage from an accident. There was debris in the roadway. The officer made contact with the owner, who had substantial damage to the rear driver's side. The suspect vehicle would be burgundy in color and have damage on the passenger side front of the vehicle. The accident was documented.
A caller Thursday afternoon at South Avenue C and West Monroe Street in Washington reported a gray trailer had been parked in the area for approximately three weeks. An officer responded and spoke with a subject at the residence. They were advised to get the trailer moved.
A caller Thursday morning in the 1100 block of West Madison Street in Washington reported a raccoon at the end of the parking lot that wouldn't leave the premises. An officer responded and was unable to locate the animal.
A caller Thursday morning in the 1600 block of Highway 22 in Wellman reported a student was being disorderly toward a staff member. The student had pushed the same staff member on Wednesday at the end of the day before fleeing home.
A caller Thursday evening in the 500 block of North Iowa Avenue in Washington requested a civil standby to get his items from his residence. It ems were retrieved without incident.
A fight between a male and a female was reported Thursday night in a parking lot in the 600 block of West Tyler Street in Washington. Officers responded. The incident was verbal only. The male party was advised to stay away from the property.
A caller Thursday night in the 1600 block of North Fifth Avenue in Washington reported his ex-girlfriend was threatening him. An officer responded. No threats were made. The problem was resolved.
A caller Thursday night in the 600 block of East Van Buren Street in Washington reported he found a stolen phone in his son's possession, and requested to speak with an officer. An officer spoke with the caller, and the owner did not wish to pursue charges.
A caller Thursday afternoon in the 1100 block of Underwood Avenue in Riverside requested to speak to a deputy after receiving a report of a suspicious incident in Riverside. An officer spoke with the caller. The officer also spoke with the alleged victim, who denied any incident happening. The report was unfounded.
A caller Thursday afternoon in the 3100 block of 160th Street in Riverside reported an accidental shooting that came in via private vehicle. An officer spoke with the caller and the Iowa DNR. The Iowa DNR will be handling the incident.
A caller Thursday morning in the 800 block of South Second Avenue in Washington reported two juveniles not showing up for school for the past couple of days, and requested a welfare check. The caller was unsure of the residence but had heard it might be north of town. An officer responded and made contact with the parents, who said it was a personal day for the youngsters because family was in town. The parents were told they needed to notify the school.

A caller Thursday morning in the 1000 block of West Madison Street in Washington reported a vehicle left without paying for $17.43 in gas. The possible number of the license plate was given. There was no vehicle description, and the direction of travel was unknown. An officer was advised and the information was documented.
A caller Thursday afternoon in the 300 block of North Fourth Avenue in Washington reported the theft of a tote full of plumbers hand tools from his vehicle, from either of two possible locations. An officer spoke with the subject for documentation purposes. The caller later called back to advise that he had misplaced the tools.

A caller Thursday night in the 500 block of North Iowa Avenue in Washington reported suspicious activity that occurred at the residence involving her children. An officer spoke with the caller. DHS will be notified. The incident is under investigation.
