Maggie Anne McCuiston, 25, of Riverside, was arrested Monday evening in the 1000 block of Walnut Avenue in Riverside for domestic abuse assault.
A vehicle vs. deer accident was reported Monday morning in the 2700 block of Coppock Road in Washington.
A vehicle reportedly went off the roadway and down by the English River on Highway 22 at Juniper Avenue in Kalona Monday morning. Officers responded. The vehicle was towed.
A caller reported being rear-ended in the 100 block of First Street in Kalona Monday morning. Information was exchanged. The incident was documented.
A caller reported backing into a pickup Monday afternoon in the 3100 block of Highway 92 in Ainsworth. Information was exchanged.
A caller reported Monday evening that the back tire of her vehicle was smoking and sparking. Washington Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire.
A fire was reported Monday night in the 1300 block of Hemlock Avenue in Wellman. Wellman Fire Department responded. It was a controlled burn.
Sexual child abuse
A possible case of sexual child abuse was reported Monday morning in the City of Kalona. The incident is under investigation.
A caller in the 400 block of North Benton Street in Brighton reported Monday morning that her 15-year-old grandson was out of control and attacked his 36-year-old cousin. Officers responded. Verbal only.
A caller in the 400 block of East Madison Street in Washington reported Monday night hearing yelling next door and believed an assault was taking place. Officers responded. The parties were separated.
All other thefts
A caller in the 30 block of East First Street in Riverside reported Monday morning that Dish Network put up an antenna on his building for neighbors and took his Direct TV antenna down. Officers responded. It was a civil matter.
A caller in the 300 block of West Jefferson Street in Washington reported Monday afternoon that her husband’s ex-girlfriend from 10 years ago showed up at their residence. They had numerous dealings in the past and she had been warned to stay away. The incident was documented.
A caller reported Monday afternoon that she received information that her cousin’s boyfriend had possibly assaulted her cousin in Sunset Park. Officers located the male subject and two witnesses who claimed the female was the aggressor. No one wished to pursue charges. The incident was documented.
A bat was reported in a house in the 800 block of North Iowa Avenue in Washington. Officers responded and removed the bat.
A barking dog was reported Monday night in the 100 block of Fifth Street in Wellman. A written warning was given to the owner.
A caller in the 600 block of Sixth Street in Wellman reported Monday night that her neighbors were being very loud. She tried approaching them about the issue earlier, but they wouldn’t cooperate. Officers responded and were unable to locate any disturbances.
The lock of a back screen porch door in the 700 block of South B Avenue in Washington had reportedly been messed with Monday evening. Officers responded.
A welfare check was requested Monday evening on a subject in the 100 block of North Seventh Avenue in Washington. Officers responded. No issue.
