Laron Demetrius Swift, 28, of Iowa City, was arrested Wednesday afternoon in the 2100 block of Lexington Boulevard in Washington for failure to appear on a charge of driving while suspended.
Anthony Wilson Delay, 36, of Wayland, was arrested Wednesday evening in the 300 block of North D Avenue in Washington on a warrant for possession of pseudoephedrine with intent to manufacture.
Donald Carl Simmering III, 37, of Ainsworth, was arrested Wednesday evening in the 300 block of North D Avenue in Washington on a warrant for possession of pseudoephedrine with intent to manufacture.
Lloyd Wallace Lillie, 53, of Washington, was arrested Wednesday night in the 100 block of Green Meadows Drive in Washington for operating while intoxicated and domestic abuse.
Charges were filed on July 23 on Herbert Ryker Clark, 17, of Washington; Christian Everett Thomas, 17, of Washington; and Charles James Lisauskas, 17, of Washington for possession of a controlled substance – marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
An accident was reported Wednesday morning in the 1500 block of East Washington Street in Washington. Officers responded. Information was exchanged.
A vehicle vs. deer accident was reported Thursday morning in the 3000 block of Highway 1 in Brighton. The incident was documented.
A 24-hour tow tag was placed on a vehicle in the 400 block of A Place Wednesday afternoon.
The front license plate was reported missing from a vehicle in the 400 block of North Ella Street in Riverside Wednesday evening. The plate was entered into the system.
All other thefts
Someone reportedly stole an extension ladder Wednesday afternoon in the 1200 block of North Second Avenue in Washington. The incident was documented.
Two subjects were reported in the City of Brighton Wednesday morning selling door-to-door. Officers responded. The subjects were advised to contact city hall for a peddler’s permit.
A caller in the 400 block of East Main Street in Washington reported Wednesday morning that he and his friends had been receiving harassing texts. Officers spoke with the suspect’s father, who will discuss the issue with him.
Horses were reported out of their enclosed area Wednesday morning in the 1300 block of Elm Avenue in Wellman and the owners were not around. Officers made contact with the owner.
Loose chickens were reported Wednesday evening in the 600 block of North Fifth Avenue in Washington. Officers responded. A verbal warning was given for possession of chickens without a city permit.
Family offense non violent
A caller in the 2700 block of Fern Cliff Road in Washington reported Wednesday night that his brother took his 12-year-old son without permission and dropped him off at another residence. He was now throwing his belongings out of the residence. Officers spoke with the caller. The incident was documented.
A vehicle was reported in a parking lot in the 100 block of First Street in Kalona and it had been there for a couple of days. Officers responded and put a note on the vehicle asking it be moved. Officers noticed a suspicious item inside. A K9 alerted on the vehicle. A few items were seized.
