Steffany Arlene Rawls, 34, of West Chester, was arrested Thursday afternoon in the 100 block of Railroad Street in West Chester for domestic abuse assault.
A two-vehicle accident was reported Thursday afternoon at North Iowa Avenue and Old Highway 1 in Washington. Officers responded. Alfred Conrad of Harper was cited for failure to obey a stop sign.
A commercial fire alarm was reported Thursday morning in the 100 block of South Marion Avenue in Washington. Washington Fire Department responded. No fire.
A commercial fire alarm was reported Thursday afternoon in the 100 block of South Marion Avenue in Washington. Washington Fire Department responded. The business was advised to fix the problem with the lines or the fire department would lock the doors until the problem is resolved.
A field fire was reported Thursday afternoon in the 2000 block of Highway 92 in Washington. Washington Fire Department was unable to locate.
An officer was requested Thursday afternoon in the 500 block of South Highway 1 in Washington in reference to a shoplifting incident. Over $1,000 worth of jewelry and clothing was reported taken.

A caller in the 800 block of Third Street in Wellman reported Thursday morning that she dropped some money and when she returned to retrieve it, a couple of juveniles on bikes had grabbed the cash and left. Officers located the juveniles and the money was returned. They did not realize it belonged to someone else. The juveniles were advised to make their parents aware of the situation.
A barking dog was reported Friday morning in the 100 block of Fifth Street in Wellman. Officers were unable to locate.
Family offense non violent
A deputy was requested Thursday morning in the 100 block of South Sixth Street in Kalona to assist with the caller’s 15-year-old son. Officers responded.
A missing juvenile was reported located in Central Park in Washington Thursday night. The juvenile was turned over to her mother.
Several subjects were reported going through trash bags Thursday night in the 100 block of East Washington Street in Washington. Officers responded. Unfounded.
A welfare check was requested Thursday morning in the 400 block of Washington Street in Ainsworth on a subject the caller hadn’t seen in several days. There were four large dogs at the residence and she hadn’t seen them either. Officers responded and made contact with the resident. Everything was fine.
