A juvenile was reported in custody in the 100 block of South Sixth Street in Kalona Monday afternoon. SIACC picked up the juvenile and took him to Central Iowa Detention in Eldora.
A vehicle vs. deer accident was reported Monday morning in the 2700 block of Wayland Road in Washington. Officers were advised. The incident was documented.
A two-vehicle accident was reported Monday afternoon in the 100 block of Seventh Street in Kalona. Officers responded. Information was exchanged.
A parked vehicle was reportedly struck by another vehicle Monday afternoon in the 200 block of South D Avenue in Washington. The incident was documented. Information was exchanged.
An attempted break-in was reported Monday night in the 20 block of Parkside Estates Road in Washington. Officers responded. A window screen was torn and there was a muddy footprint on the side of the home. Nothing appeared to be missing. The incident was documented.
Motor vehicle theft
A caller in the 1500 block of West Ginkgo Avenue in Washington reported Monday night that her van was gone from the residence. She believed her estranged husband might have taken it. Officers responded. It was a civil issue.
An officer was requested Monday afternoon in the 100 block of South Marion Avenue in Washington in reference to a counterfeit bill. The incident is under investigation.
All other thefts
A caller in the 300 block of East Washington Street in Washington reported Monday morning that a juvenile had stolen traffic cones the previous night. Officers will review the video. The incident was documented.
A gun cleaning kit was reported missing from a residence in the 500 block of South Eighth Avenue in Washington. The caller believed that someone comes into her house while she is gone, but doesn’t know whom. The incident was documented.
Someone reportedly vandalized a John Deere riding mower Monday morning in the 2000 block of 155th Street in Washington. The incident was documented.
Someone reportedly turned a mailbox in the 2100 block of 140th Street in Kalona around Monday morning. The caller’s husband witnessed a group of juveniles messing around the ‘road closed’ sign. Officers responded. There was no damage to the mailbox or sign. A subject was counseled.
A mailbox was reported struck Monday afternoon in the 200 block of North H Avenue in Washington. Officers responded. The incident was documented.
A caller in the 300 block of East Main Street in Washington reported Monday afternoon two subjects were harassing her. Officers spoke with the caller.
Someone reportedly dumped trash at Hayes Timber in Washington Monday afternoon. Officers contacted the owner.
A barking dog was reported Monday morning in the 1300 block of First Avenue in Wellman. Officers responded. The incident was documented.
Subjects were reported messing around a bridge in the 3000 block of Wayland Road in Washington Monday night. The caller advised they were shining a flashlight, making driving difficult. Officers responded and made contact with the subjects. The subjects were fishing with valid licenses and did not intend to shine flashlights at the car.

A caller in the 400 block of E Avenue in Kalona reported Monday afternoon that her 17-year-old son left the residence the previous Thursday and had not returned home. Officers responded. The subject was located.
A welfare check was requested Monday evening on a subject at East Monroe and E Avenue in Washington. Officers located the subject.
