Arrests

Dillon Warren Decker, 18, of Kalona, was arrested Tuesday morning in the 200 block of A Avenue in Kalona for possession of marijuana with intent to deliver.

Toby Dean Freese, 43, of Ainsworth, was arrested Tuesday night in the 200 block of East Sixth Street in Waterloo for probation violation on OWI.

Dema Verlee Mattocks, 29, of Washington, was arrested Tuesday night in the 500 block of South 11th Avenue in Washington for domestic abuse assault.

 

Fire calls

A pole fire was reported Tuesday evening at East Van Buren and South Third Avenue in Washington. Washington Fire Department responded. It was a controlled burn in a fire pit.

 

Burglary

A window was reported broken on a residence in the 300 block of West Washington Street in Washington Tuesday afternoon. Officers responded. The incident was documented.

 

Fraud

Fraudulent activity was reported Tuesday afternoon in the 300 block of West Jefferson Street in Washington. Officers spoke with the caller. The incident was documented.

 

Intimidation/harassment

A caller in the 200 block of A Avenue in Kalona reported Tuesday morning that a subject was harassing her. Officers spoke with the caller. The incident was documented.

A caller in the 700 block of East 15th Street in Washington reported Tuesday morning that a subject had come to her residence three times on Sunday and each time the subject was asked to leave and not return. A no-contact order between the two expired July 16. The incident was documented.

A caller in the 200 block of A Avenue in Washington reported Tuesday evening a subject was harassing her. Officers spoke with all parties. Unfounded.

 

Disorderly conduct

The jail administrator in the 2100 block of Lexington Boulevard in Washington requested assistance with an inmate Tuesday afternoon. Officers responded.

Several subjects were reported yelling and screaming at each other Tuesday night at South Marion Avenue and West Washington Street in Washington. Officers responded. The incident is under investigation. Possible charges are pending.

 

Search warrant

A search warrant was reported executed Tuesday morning in the 100 block of B Avenue in Kalona. Officers responded. Charges are pending.

Disabled vehicle

A caller requested Tuesday evening that a vehicle at Riverside Road and 180th Street in Washington be towed. Officers responded. The vehicle was towed.

 

Illegal dumping

Illegal dumping was reported Tuesday morning in the 2700 block of Fern Cliff Road in Wayland. Arnold Everett Thompson of Wayland was cited for illegal dumping.

 

Animal complaint

A caller in the 2600 block of Wayland Road in Washington reported Tuesday morning that the neighbor’s dogs were in her yard. She had daycare kids outside playing. Officers responded. Cynthia Denise Murphy of Washington was cited for county ordinance dog at large.

 

All other offenses

A caller in the 2600 block of Wayland Road in Washington reported Tuesday afternoon that water to a residence had been shut off. It was a civil issue.

A caller in the 900 block of East 15th Street in Washington reported Tuesday evening subjects had driven a semi through their yard. Officers responded. The problem was resolved.

A vehicle reportedly hit a garbage can Tuesday evening in the 500 block of South Eighth Avenue in Washington. Officers spoke with all subjects. Unfounded.

 

Suspicious activity

A vehicle reportedly pulled into the driveway of a residence in the 1400 block of Fir Avenue in Wellman Wednesday morning and honked its horn several times, waking the caller up. Officers were unable to locate.
