Arrests

Alesha Dianne Entsminger, 23, of Washington, was arrested Friday afternoon at North Second Avenue and East Sixth Street in Washington for driving under revocation.

David Sebastian Riness, 19, of Washington, was arrested Saturday afternoon in the 1000 block of North Sixth Avenue in Washington for possession of drug paraphernalia. Charges are ending for possession of a controlled substance.

Morgan Audrey Claire Evans, 21, of Washington, was arrested Saturday night in the 300 block of South Fourth Avenue in Washington for public intoxication and possession of drug paraphernalia. Jamie Lee Fritz, 21, of Washington, was arrested at the same time and location for public intoxication and interference with official acts.

Michael Trevino, 21, of Washington, was arrested Sunday morning in the 1100 block of East Third Street in Washington for operating while intoxicated and possession of a controlled substance. He was also cited for driving under suspension, speeding and no insurance.

Kevin Michael Carter, 24, of Sigourney, was arrested Sunday afternoon at Railroad and Highway 92 in West Chester for driving under suspension and speeding.

Andrew Christopher Beeler, 23, of Dubuque, was arrested Sunday afternoon in the 1300 block of Highway 218 in Riverside for driving under revocation, OWI and no SR22 insurance.

Jeremy Nathan Pearson, 30, of Hammond, Ind., was arrested Sunday evening in the 500 block of South Highway 1 in Washington on a warrant for probation violation on possession of precursors.

 

Traffic accidents

A vehicle vs. deer accident was reported Friday morning at Highway 22 and Redwood Avenue in Riverside. The incident was documented.

A head-on collision was reported Saturday morning in the 1300 block of Ginkgo Avenue in Wellman. A possible trap was reported. Washington County Ambulance and officers responded. Three subjects were transported to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. The incident is under investigation.

A vehicle vs. deer accident was reported Saturday afternoon at W47 north of Coppock Road in Washington. Officers responded.

A vehicle vs. deer accident was reported Saturday afternoon at Highway 218 in Ainsworth. The incident was documented.

A two-vehicle accident was reported Saturday evening in the 3100 block of Highway 22 in Riverside. Officers responded. Over $1,500 damage was reported; Ronald Jeffrey Williams, 51, of Sioux Falls, S.D., was arrested for OWI.

A vehicle reportedly backed into a trailer Saturday evening in the 200 block of North Railroad Street in Ainsworth. Officers responded. Information was exchanged. The incident was documented.

A caller reported Saturday night that his wife had struck a deer in the 2100 block of Highway 218 in Ainsworth. The incident was documented.

A caller reported Saturday night that his son’s vehicle was struck by another vehicle while parked in a friend’s driveway in the 2300 block of 290th Street in Washington. The suspect vehicle left the scene. Officers responded. The incident was documented.

A vehicle vs. deer accident was reported Sunday morning at Highway 218 in Riverside. Officers responded.

A caller in the 2400 block of Highway 92 in Washington reported Sunday afternoon witnessing a vehicle hit a parked car and leave the area. Officers responded. The incident was documented.

A vehicle vs. deer accident was reported Sunday afternoon in the 1500 block of Highway 1 in Kalona. The incident was documented.

A caller reported striking a deer Sunday evening in the 3300 block of Highway 218 in Crawfordsville. The incident was documented.

 

Traffic other

Carlos A. Escareno Galvan, 27, of West Liberty, was cited Sunday morning at First and Highway 92 in Ainsworth for driving under suspension and speeding.

 

Burglary

A theft was reported Friday morning in the 400 block of AmVet Road in Richmond. Officers responded. The incident is under investigation.

 

Stolen property

A purse was reported stolen out of a vehicle in the 1000 block of North Fifth Avenue in Washington Friday night. Officers were advised and checked the area.

 

All other thefts

Someone reportedly stole baby Jesus from a nativity scene in the 500 bloc of East Hickory Street in Riverside. Officers spoke with the caller.

A caller in the 2100 block of Lexington Boulevard in Washington reported Sunday afternoon that her ex-boyfriend took her apartment keys and was en route to the apartment to take his belongings. Officers responded.

 

Intimidation/harassment

A caller in the 600 block of North Seventh Avenue in Washington reported Friday morning harassment via phone calls and text messaged. The incident was documented.

A caller in the 600 block of Ash Street in Riverside reported Saturday afternoon that he ex-boyfriend was harassing her. Officers responded.

A caller in the 1000 block of South B Avenue in Washington reported Saturday evening receiving harassing text messages. Officers responded. The incident was documented.

A caller in the 1100 block of East Seventh Street in Washington reported Saturday night that a co-worker threatened him in reference to an alleged theft.

 

Disorderly conduct

An out-of-control student was reported Friday morning in the 300 block of South Fourth Avenue in Washington. Officers responded.

A disorderly subject was reported in the 300 block of West Main Street in Washington Friday morning. Officers responded. The subject was advised she would be charged with trespass if she returns.

An intoxicated subject was reported in the 400 block of East Harrison Street in Washington Friday night. Officers responded. The subject was given a ride to another residence.

Several vehicles reportedly drove past a residence in the 700 block of South Iowa Avenue in Washington shooting pellet guns. Officers located the vehicles. No pellet guns were inside.

Officers responded Sunday afternoon being in the 400 block of East Madison Street in Washington for a domestic dispute. Both parties remained at the residence.

 

Trespass

A caller in the 3100 block of Highway 1 in Brighton reported Saturday afternoon that a subject was trespassing on his property. A vehicle was parked at the public boat access and the subject was walking onto his property. The subject had noticed the caller and hid in a tree. Officers and the Iowa State Patrol responded. Subjects were hunting and not on the caller’s property.

 

Animal complaint

A caller reported Friday afternoon that a dog bit him in the 1000 block of West Monroe Street in Washington. Officers located the dog’s owner. A dog bite form was provided.

A deer was reported in the 1600 block of Highway 218 in Riverside that had been hit but was still alive Saturday morning. Officers responded.

 

DP&Q

Loud music was reported coming from a trailer at Parkside Estates Road in Washington Friday night. Officers were unable to locate.

An alarm was reported going off Sunday morning in the 200 block of West Madison Street in Washington. Officers responded. The alarm was at a business and a staff member was resetting it. No problem.

 

All other offenses

A caller in the 1200 block of North Sixth Avenue in Washington reported Sunday morning finding a purse, billfold and keys in the driveway. Officers responded.

 

Family offense non violent

A caller in the 400 block of East Main Street in Brighton reported Saturday night that she had her granddaughter for three days. Her daughter, the child’s mother, was reportedly intoxicated. Officers responded and gave the caller options to get temporary custody.

 

Suspicious activity

A suspicious truck was reported parked in the 200 block of East First Street in Riverside Saturday morning. Officers responded. The subject in the vehicle was waiting for a friend to go hunting.

A caller reported Sunday morning hearing people screaming in the 400 block of Highways 1 and 92 in Washington. Officers responded. There was a party going on and the subjects who left were loud in the parking lot. No problem.

 

Welfare check

A welfare check was requested Friday night in the 80 block of North Washington Street in Riverside in reference to a 16-year-old whose father possibly assaulted her. Officers responded. The father reported the subject didn’t get to watch a TV show and was upset. No marks.
