Adam Duane Haifley, 23, of Ainsworth, was arrested Friday evening in the 700 block of Park Street in Ainsworth for domestic abuse assault causing bodily injury.
Elijah James Wood, 18, of Ainsworth, was arrested Friday night in the 1700 block of Vine Avenue in Riverside for possession of a controlled substance. Bryan Jacob Hootman, 18, of Solon, was cited at the same time and location for possession of alcohol under the legal age.
Aaron Joseph Smith, 30, of Washington, was arrested Saturday morning at West Fifth Street and North Fourth Avenue in Washington for OWI third offense.
Benjamin James Curtis, 35, of Washington, was arrested Sunday morning in the 300 block of West Washington Boulevard in Washington on a warrant for trespass and simple assault.
A two-vehicle accident was reported Saturday morning at Highways 218 and 92 in Ainsworth. Over $1,500 damage was reported. James Koehne of Roseville, Minn., was cited for no insurance accident related.
A vehicle vs. deer accident was reported Saturday afternoon in the 2000 block of Ginkgo Avenue. A deer tag was issued.
A vehicle accident with a trap was reported Sunday morning at Highway 1 and 520th Street in Kalona. Kalona Fire, Kalona Rescue and Kalona First Responders responded.
A vehicle was reported parked on the shoulder of the roadway in the 2100 block of Riverside road in Washington Friday morning. Officers responded. The vehicle was tagged.
A barn fire was reported Saturday afternoon in the 5700 block of Sharon Center Road in Kalona. Kalona Fire Department responded. It was a controlled burn.
A fire was reported Sunday afternoon in the 300 block of North Jefferson Street in Brighton. A shed was on fire. Brighton Fire Department responded. The fire was extinguished. The incident is under investigation.
A leaf pile was reported on fire Sunday evening in the 200 block of East 12th Street in Washington. The caller advised he would put the fire out. Units were disregarded.
A caller reported Saturday afternoon being assaulted at Fifth Avenue and Third Street in Wellman. A report will be filed.
A caller in the 300 block of North B Avenue in Washington reported Saturday evening that her neighbor pushed her. Officers responded. A report will be filed.
A caller in the 200 block of Eighth Avenue in Wellman reported Sunday morning her boyfriend assaulted her and then she disconnected the call. Officers responded and attempted to locate the caller at several locations. Officers were unable to locate and she refused help by phone.
A caller in the 400 block of West Jefferson Street in Washington reported Sunday afternoon his wife shoved him into the refrigerator and slapped him. Officers responded. The subject left the residence for the evening.
A caller in the 700 block of 12th Avenue in Wellman reported Sunday afternoon her husband punched her in the face about two weeks ago. She did not wish to pursue charges. Unfounded. The incident was documented.
Subjects were reported yelling Sunday afternoon in the 300 block of West Main Street in Brighton. Multiple charges are pending.
Motor vehicle thefts
A vehicle was reported stolen Saturday morning in the 500 block of East Seventh Street in Washington. Officers responded. The truck was located. The incident is under investigation.
A caller in the 300 block of Fourth Street in Wellman reported Saturday evening that his brother took his sister’s car without permission. The vehicle was returned.
All other thefts
A purse was reported taken Saturday morning in the 500 block of East Seventh Street in Washington. The contents include a wallet with driver’s license, seven credit cards, $40 cash, a debit card and gift certificates for local restaurants.
Two metal bowls and a plastic glass were reported taken Saturday afternoon in the 300 block of East Main Street in Washington. The incident was documented.
A caller in the 700 block of 14th Street in Kalona reported Saturday afternoon that a subject took his bag when he dropped him off. He reported $250 to $300 cash and prescription medication was missing.
A vehicle was reported egged Sunday morning in the 200 block of Railroad Street in Ainsworth. The incident was documented.
Two subjects in a vehicle were reported hitting mailboxes with a hammer at Eighth Avenue and Third Street in Wellman. Officers located the subjects who had a hammer, but advised they did not hit any mailboxes. Officers made the mother aware.
Liquor law violations
A caller reported Sunday morning being in the 3000 block of Wayland Road in Washington with an assault occurring. Officers responded. No one wished to pursue charges. Brenden James Carey, 25, of Washington was cited for contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Cited for possession of alcohol by a minor were: John Earl Knupp, 19, Washington; Tyler John York, 19, of Washington; Lyndsay Adrian, 18, of Washington; Jordan Vradenburg, 20, of Mt. Pleasant; and Zachary Martin, 18, of Washington. Juvenile alcohol complaints were filed on Tiffany Trepaniar, 16, of Washington; and Sheila Vasquez, 15, of Washington.
A caller in the 400 block of East Harrison Street in Washington reported Sunday afternoon someone had climbed their fence into their back yard and pulled the gate open.
A barking dog was reported Friday evening across the alley to west from 80 Glascow. The caller later reported the problem had been taken care of. The incident was documented.
A barking dog was reported Saturday evening in the 100 block of West First Street in Washington. Officers spoke with the owner of the property who will make the tenant take care of the problem.
A loud party was reported Saturday morning in the 100 block of North railroad Street in Ainsworth. Robert Joseph Greiner, 20, of Ainsworth, was cited for a violation of the city’s noise ordinance. Cited for possession of alcohol by a minor were: Robert Greiner, 20, of Ainsworth; and Kimberly Powers, 20, of Crawfordsville.

A caller in the 200 block of East Second Street in Washington reported Friday afternoon neighbors were throwing cigarette butts into his yard. Officers spoke with the subject and he picked them up. The incident was documented.
Family offense non violent
A caller reported Friday evening that her mother and father’s girlfriend and mother’s boyfriend were fighting in the 1000 block of West Madison Street in Washington. Officers responded. The parties were separated. The incident was documented.
A domestic situation was reported Sunday evening in the 300 block of South Marion Avenue in Washington. Verbal only. The parties were separated.
A caller in the 10 block of West First Street in Riverside reported Sunday night his 18-year-old girlfriend locked herself in the bathroom and he felt she might harm herself.
Hang-up 911 calls
A caller in the 900 block of South 11th Avenue in Washington reported Friday afternoon three subjects were dead in a residence, then hung up. Officers responded. It was a prank. The child’s parents were made aware of the incident.
