Stephanie Ann Blanchett, 31, of Cedar Rapids, was arrested Wednesday afternoon in the 3100 block of Highway 22 in Riverside for third degree burglary of an unoccupied vehicle. Jamie Allen Medulan of Cedar Rapids was arrested at the same time and location for third degree burglary of an unoccupied motor vehicle.
Melanie Beth Tripplett, 18, of Washington, was arrested Wednesday night at Highway 1 and West Fifth Street in Washington on a warrant for driving under suspension and unlawful passing of a school bus.
Galvan Carlos Escareno, 27, of West Liberty, was arrested Thursday morning at Highway 92 and First Street in Ainsworth for driving under suspension.
A vehicle reportedly slid into the ditch Wednesday night at G36 and Tulip Avenue in Washington. Officers responded. The caller reported that the vehicle hit a deer causing it to go into the ditch. The vehicle was towed.
A possible gas leak was reported Wednesday afternoon in the 800 block of 10th Street in Kalona. Kalona Fire responded. An ambulance was requested to check on the tenant.
All other thefts
A wallet and possibly a bankbook were reported missing Wednesday afternoon in the 200 block of West Madison Street in Washington. The items were located.
Damage was reported Wednesday afternoon to a rental property in the 300 block of North B Avenue in Washington. Officers spoke with the subject. It was a civil matter.
An unruly student was reported Wednesday afternoon in the 1100 block of South B Avenue in Washington. Officers responded. The student was suspended and went home with her father.
An officer was requested to respond to the 300 block of South Fourth Avenue in Washington Wednesday morning in reference to a possible violation. Officers responded.

An officer was requested Wednesday morning in the 1100 block of East Washington Street in Washington in reference to possible suspicious activity surrounding a family member. The incident was documented.
Officers reported Wednesday morning being out in the 1100 block of South B Avenue in Washington after receiving a report of a potential problem with a student. The incident is under investigation.
A caller in the 1000 block of North Fourth Avenue in Washington reported Wednesday afternoon that a semi was parked outside her house and people were coming up to the door. Officers responded. The call was unfounded. The subject was hallucinating.
A caller in the 1100 block of South B Avenue in Washington reported Wednesday afternoon that there had been a possible threat on Facebook that a student made toward a teacher. The incident is under investigation.
A caller in the 60 block of North Greene Street in Riverside reported Wednesday afternoon that the city’s computer system might have been compromised. The incident was documented.
