Lonnie Merle Pickard, 43, of Brighton, was arrested Friday morning at Highway 1 and 315th Street in Brighton for OWI and driving under suspension.
A delivery truck reportedly went into a ditch Thursday morning in the 1100 block of Highways 1 and 78 in Brighton. The vehicle was leaking gas and the driver was not injured. Brighton Fire Department and Brighton QRS responded. The driver was transported to town and the company was notified.
A vehicle reportedly spun out in front of a semi Thursday afternoon at Highway 218 in Ainsworth and the caller reportedly hit it with his semi. Officers and the Iowa State Patrol responded.
A caller reported Thursday afternoon that a truck rear-ended him in the 2500 block of Highway 92 in Washington. Officers responded. Over $1,500 damage was reported.
A caller reported rolling his vehicle Thursday afternoon in the 2100 block of Highway 92 in Washington. Officers responded. The subjects were given a ride into Washington.
A caller reported Thursday afternoon that another vehicle struck his vehicle in the 2400 block of Highway 92 in Washington. Officers responded. A report will be filed.
A lamp was reported with sparks flying from it Thursday morning in the 100 block of South Farmer Street in Brighton. Brighton Fire Department and Brighton QRS responded. Alliant Energy was contacted. Several wires were touching. The issue was resolved.
A caller in the 100 block of Railroad Street in West Chester reported Thursday evening that her husband hit her in the face. Officers responded. Both subjects had assaulted each other. Officers were unable to determine who the aggressor was. The male subject will leave the residence for the night. A report will be forwarded to DHS.
A caller in the 400 block of East Main Street in Brighton reported Thursday evening that her neighbors were throwing snowballs at her residence and she was afraid they would break one of her windows. Officers spoke with the caller. The incident was documented.
A welfare check was requested Thursday morning on a child in the 300 block of North B Avenue in Washington. Possible domestic issues were reported. Officers responded. No contact was made. Officers later contacted a female subject and the child. Both had bruises, but the subject denied any domestic abuse.
