A two-vehicle accident was reported Tuesday evening in the 1000 block of West Madison Street in Washington. Jacob Quentin Baughman of Washington was cited for failure to maintain control.
A caller in the 100 block of 11th Street in Wellman reported Thursday morning another vehicle hit his parked vehicle and left. The caller saw the suspect vehicle. Officers located the vehicle in Johnson County and the driver admitted to hitting the vehicle. A report will be filed.
Ryan Dustin Sammons of Coralville was cited Tuesday night in the 3100 block of Highway 92 in Ainsworth for driving under suspension and expired registration.
A loud, possibly underage party was reported Thursday morning in the 500 block of Sixth Street in Wellman. Officers responded. Charges are pending for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. The incident is under investigation.
Motor vehicle thefts
A caller in the 1200 block of Seventh Avenue in Wellman reported Tuesday night that someone had stolen his vehicle from his residence. Officers spoke with the caller. The vehicle was entered as stolen. The vehicle was located Wednesday morning in West branch.
All other thefts
An attorney reported Tuesday morning that his client was a victim of a theft in the 900 block of South 11th Street in Washington. The incident was documented.
A caller reported Tuesday afternoon that someone drove through the yard in the 1000 block of F Place in Kalona. Officers spoke with the caller.
Vandalism was reported Wednesday evening at a business in the 300 block of North Marion Avenue in Washington. The incident was documented.
A caller reported Wednesday afternoon getting calls and text messages from a number he did not know. The messages were threatening and bothersome. Officers spoke to all parties. The subject was advised to leave the caller alone.
Family offense non violent
A family argument was reported Tuesday afternoon in the 2100 block of Lexington Boulevard in Washington. The male party left. It was a child custody issue. The child will stay with the mother. Officers dealt with this a second time at a local business.
Public service contacts
A caller reported Tuesday morning that a subject wearing only a denim jacket and stocking cap was hitchhiking westbound in the 200 block of Highway 92 in West Chester. Officers were advised.
