Randy Allan Akers, 40, of Marshalltown, was arrested Monday afternoon in the 200 block of East First Street in Riverside for driving under suspension. He was also cited for speeding.
A vehicle reportedly slid into another vehicle Monday morning in the 100 block of East Jefferson Street in Washington. Officers responded.
A vehicle was reported in a ditch in the 1600 block of North Marion Avenue in Washington Tuesday morning and the driver was knocking on the caller’s door. Officers responded.
A vehicle reportedly went into a ditch Tuesday morning at Highway 218 in Riverside. Officers, Riverside Rescue, Riverside QRS and Washington County Ambulance responded. The driver was given a ride to Washington.
A vehicle vs. deer accident was reported Tuesday night at Highways 1 and 92 and West Fifth Street in Washington. Officers responded.
A field draw in the 2400 block of Birch Avenue in Keota was reported on fire Monday evening. Keota Fire Department and officers responded. It was a controlled burn.
A possible sexual assault was reported Monday afternoon in the City of Washington. The incident is under investigation.
A caller in the 100 block of Knisel Street in Riverside reported Monday morning being involved in an altercation with her boyfriend. He reportedly elbowed her in the ribs and put his hands on her. He then left the residence. Officers spoke with both parties. The caller did not wish to pursue charges.
A caller in the 400 block of West Seventh Street in Washington reported Monday afternoon being a victim of fraud. A subject from another country reportedly withdrew money out of her checking account. The incident was documented.
All other thefts
A cell phone was reported stolen Tuesday afternoon in the 2200 block of Yucca Avenue in Ainsworth. The incident was documented.
A gas drive-off in the amount of $26 was reported Tuesday evening in the 700 block of Sixth Street in Wellman. The incident was documented.
A deputy was requested Tuesday afternoon in the 600 block of Eighth Avenue in Wellman in reference to a threat made by the caller’s daughter’s fiancé. Officers spoke with all subjects involved.
Multiple reports of a domestic situation were received Tuesday morning in the 2100 block of Dogwood Avenue in Keota. Officers responded. The problem was resolved.
A barking dog was reported Monday night in the 300 block of West Street in West Chester. Officers responded. A verbal warning was given.
A barking dog was reported Tuesday night in the 1900 block of Highway 92 in Washington. Officers spoke with the owner.
A caller in the 500 block of Sixth Street in Wellman reported Monday evening that the neighbors had surround sound and were playing it very loud. Officers were unable to locate.
Subjects in the 300 block of North B Avenue in Washington were reportedly dropping something heavy on the floor Tuesday evening. Officers responded.
All other offenses
An abandoned bicycle was reported Monday morning in the 500 block of South Highway 1 in Washington. Officers responded. It was taken to the bike shed.
A deputy was requested Tuesday afternoon in the 100 block of Fifth Street in Wellman in reference to a dispute the caller was having with a subject who was living with her. Officers spoke with the caller. The caller later reported the subject was en route to the residence and was being violent over the phone. Officers responded. The subject will stay at another residence for the night.
Family offense non violent
A caller in the 3300 block of Terrace Lake Road in Crawfordsville reported Tuesday evening that according to his divorce decree he should get his kids back at 7 p.m. and his wife advised him that he couldn’t have them until the next morning. The incident was documented.
A vehicle was reported parked at Orange Avenue and 110th Street in Kalona Tuesday night and a subject was reported with a gun. Officers responded and spoke with subjects who were coyote hunting. No problem.
Public service contact
A caller reported being stuck in an elevator Tuesday afternoon in the 800 block of West Monroe Street in Washington. Washington Fire Department and officers responded. Firefighters got the subject out of the elevator.
A subject was reported Tuesday night asking for a ride in the 500 block of North 12th Avenue in Washington. Officers responded.
A caller reported Monday afternoon that he had been trying to locate his brother in the 1300 block of North Second Avenue in Washington and there was no answer. Officers responded. The residence was vacant. The brother was later located at work.
A caller in the 900 block of East Adams Street in Washington reported Monday night he had walked outside and was unable to find his way back to his apartment. Officers responded.
