Charges were filed Wednesday afternoon in the 100 block of West Washington Street in Washington on Bernardo Sanchez, 16, of Washington, for simple assault.
Joseph Tyler Kohl, 20, of Iowa City, was charged with possession of alcohol under the legal age Thursday morning in the 90 block of North Washington Street in Riverside. Tallen Mikel Wilmoth, 21, of Iowa City, was charged at the same time and location with providing alcohol to a minor.
A vehicle reportedly rear-ended/side-swiped another vehicle Wednesday morning in the 2200 block of Highway 1 in Washington. Christopher Bryant Williams was cited for failure to stop at a safe and assured distance.
A vehicle vs. deer accident was reported Wednesday afternoon at Highway 1 north of 315th Street in Brighton. Officers responded. A deer tag was issued.

Someone reportedly shot a deer in the 1100 block of Underwood Avenue in Riverside Wednesday afternoon and wanted a deer tag. Officers responded.
A dog reportedly bit a subject Wednesday night in the 500 block of North Farmer Street in Brighton. Officers responded. The dog wasn’t current with its shots. The owner will take the dog to the vet.
Family offense non violent
A caller in the 200 block of South D Avenue in Washington reported Wednesday afternoon that she and her mother had been arguing and she wanted a deputy to speak with the two of them. Officers responded. The issue was resolved.
A caller reported Wednesday evening that she had been trying to contact her mother in the 1200 block of North Second Avenue in Washington all day and the phone had been busy. Officers responded. No problem.
A caller in the 2100 block of Dogwood Avenue in Keota reported Wednesday morning that her son’s girlfriend’s mother and boyfriend were at her residence and she did not want them there. Officers responded. The issue was resolved.
