Shody James Hunt, 35, of Cedar Rapids, was arrested Monday afternoon in the 2400 block of Highway 92 in Washington for third-degree theft, public intoxication and trespass.
Mary Jane Ecklor, 18, of Washington, was arrested Monday night in the 900 block of West Third Street in Washington for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance – marijuana. Charges are pending for operating under the influence. Stephany Guadalupe Recendez, 17, of Washington, was cited at the same time and location for possession of tobacco.
A vehicle in the 1700 block of Highway 1 in Washington reportedly went partially into the shoulder, over corrected and crossed into the southbound lane of traffic, flipping over in the west ditch. No injuries were reported. Officers responded. The vehicle was towed.
A caller reported Monday afternoon his vehicle had gone into a ditch at Highway 218 and 560th Street in Riverside. The vehicle was towed out of the ditch. The incident was documented.
A truck reportedly went into a ditch Monday evening at Highways 22 and 218 in Riverside. Officers responded.
A hog barn was reported on fire Monday afternoon in the 3100 block of 335th Street in Crawfordsville. Crawfordsville QRS and Olds Fire Department responded. The fire was extinguished.
A chimney fire was reported Tuesday morning in the 800 block of East Tyler Street in Washington. Washington Fire Department responded to ventilate the house.
All other thefts
A subject reportedly left a business in the 2400 block of Highway 92 in Washington Monday evening and possibly had taken two bottles of vodka. The incident was documented.
A caller in the 300 block of North C Avenue in Washington reported Monday morning her sister-in-law was following her. The caller believed the sister-in-law was going to try to get money out of the caller’s mother’s bank. Officers responded. The incident was documented.
A caller in the 200 block of West Madison Street in Washington reported Monday afternoon a subject had approached his vehicle at an intersection and verbally harassed him. Officers responded. The parties were separated.
Subjects in the 1900 block of Highway 92 in Washington were reportedly not taking care of livestock. Officers responded. The animals were being fed.
All other offenses
A caller in the 300 block of North C Avenue in Washington reported Monday morning that random items were missing and people were showing up at the residence. Officers spoke with the caller regarding continual phone calls.
