James Anthony Ramirez, 43, of Wellman, was arrested Saturday morning in the 800 block of 12th Avenue in Wellman on a Johnson County warrant for failure to appear for a pretrial on a charge of second degree theft.
Dustin Everett Curtis, 28, of Washington, was arrested Saturday afternoon in the 300 block of West Washington Boulevard in Washington for public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
Cody James Sobaski, 22, of Brighton, was arrested Sunday night in the 2900 block of Ivy Avenue in Brighton for operating while intoxicated.
A guide wire to a utility pole in the 200 block of South D Avenue in Washington was reported snapped Friday afternoon. Officers responded. The incident was documented.
A caller reported hitting a garbage truck Friday evening at 150th Street in Kalona. Officers responded. Thomas John Stumpf, 18, of Kalona, was cited for no insurance accident related. Over $1,500 damage was reported and a state accident report will be filed.
A vehicle accident was reported Saturday afternoon in the 1000 block of West Madison Street in Washington. Officers responded. Kimberly Ann Smith of Washington was cited for following too closely. Under $1,500 damage was reported.
A vehicle vs. deer accident was reported Sunday afternoon in the 2500 block of Highway 22 in Kalona. Officers responded. A state accident report will be filed.
A one-vehicle accident was reported Sunday night in the 2900 block of Ivy Avenue in Brighton. Brighton Fire, Brighton QRS, Washington County Rescue, Washington County Ambulance, Iowa State Patrol, and Aircare responded. One subject was transported to the Washington County Hospital, where Aircare transported the subject to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. The vehicle was towed.
A vehicle vs. deer accident was reported Monday morning in the 1500 block of 250th Street in West Chester. Officers responded. The incident was documented.
A van was reported stuck in a yard in the 900 block of East Tyler Street in Washington Friday evening. Officers responded.
A vehicle was reported driving on the Kewash Trail Sunday afternoon. Officers were advised. The vehicle was located.
A caller reported Sunday afternoon that a subject was tailgating them and coming up on their rear bumper and driving in a threatening way toward them. Iowa State Patrol located the vehicle and will handle the complaint.
Possible drug activity was reported Friday morning in the City of Washington. The incident is under investigation.
Someone reportedly broke the lock on an apartment door in the 300 block of West 18th Street in Washington Sunday night. Officers responded. Nothing was missing. The incident was documented.

Someone reportedly tried to gain entry to an apartment Friday night in the 800 block of 10th Street in Kalona. The incident was documented.
A caller in the 100 block of Highway 92 in West Chester reported Friday evening that a subject had been calling her boyfriend and leaving harassing messages. Officers spoke with both parties. The incident was documented.
A caller in the 300 block of North Marion Avenue in Washington reported Saturday morning receiving harassing phone text messages. Officers spoke with both parties.
A caller in the 1800 block of 325th Street in Brighton reported Friday morning that horses bordering her property did not have proper care and nutrition. Officers responded. The horses had food and water.
A dog was reported Friday morning at North Second Avenue in Washington not able to reach any form of shelter. Officers spoke with the owner.
A dog was reported Friday morning wandering in the grassy area in the 2400 block of Highway 92 in Washington. Officers responded. The owner was contacted and retrieved the dog.
A pit bull was reported in a yard in the 800 block of Lincoln Street in Ainsworth Sunday afternoon and it would not leave. Officers responded. The dog had left prior to officers’ arrival.
Loud noise was reportedly coming from an apartment in the 300 block of North B Avenue in Washington Saturday morning. Officers responded. The noise was coming from an active child.
Family offense non violent
A caller in the 1000 block of East Second Street in Washington reported Friday evening being in a verbal altercation with his wife. Officers responded. The female left for the evening.
A caller in the 800 block of 12th Avenue in Wellman reported Saturday morning that she came to Wellman with her boyfriend from out of state. They had gotten into an argument and he left. Officers gave the caller a ride to Iowa City.
A vehicle was reportedly driving erratically Monday morning in the 800 block of West Monroe Street in Washington and continued to drive back and forth past the caller as she was walking home. Officers were unable to locate.
A deputy was requested Sunday morning in the 300 block of A Place in Kalona in reference to the caller’s boyfriend taking money out of their joint account. It was a civil matter.

An officer was requested Friday afternoon in the 200 block of East First Street in Riverside. The caller reported they were terminating an employee and requested an officer be in the area. Officers responded. No incident.
An officer reported Saturday morning being en route to an address in the 1500 block of Highland Avenue in Washington for a welfare check per a Johnson County request. Officers responded.
