A two-vehicle accident was reported Monday afternoon at Highway 22 and Ninth Avenue in Wellman. No injuries were reported. The roadway was blocked. Officers, Wellman Fire and Washington County Rescue responded. One vehicle was towed. Elsie Guengerich of Wellman was cited for failure to yield right of way. Over $1,500 damage was reported.
A truck was reportedly parked across the sidewalk Monday afternoon in the 200 block of east Main Street in Washington. The vehicle continues to part this way. A subject moved the vehicle.
A caller in the 2700 block of Highway 22 in Riverside requested to speak with an officer Monday morning regarding a business in Riverside participating in fraudulent practices. Officers responded.
All other thefts
A gas drive-off in the amount of $35.89 was reported Monday morning in the 1500 block of East Washington Street in Washington. Officers spoke with the registered owner. The subject returned and paid for the gas.
Horses were reported out on Spruce Avenue and 230th Street in Ainsworth Monday afternoon. Hilario Canales was cited for county ordinances.
Family offense non violent
A violation of a no-contact order was reported Monday afternoon in the 100 block of West Vine Street in Crawfordsville. Charges are pending.
Officers were requested Monday morning in the 800 block of West Monroe Street in Washington to assist with a client. Officers responded and gave the subject a ride to his appointment.
A vehicle was reported sitting in the parking lot in the 700 block of Sixth Street in Wellman Tuesday morning for about 15 minutes. Officers responded. The vehicle had left prior to officers’ arrival.
