A vehicle was reportedly struck by another vehicle Monday morning at Highway 22 and Seventh Avenue in Wellman. The offending vehicle left the scene. Officers responded. Travis Yutzy of Kalona was cited for failure to yield upon making a left turn.
A hit-and-run accident was reported Monday morning in the 100 block of West Second Street in Washington. Officers responded. The incident was documented.
A hit-and-run accident was reported Monday afternoon in the 300 block of East Washington Street in Washington. Officers responded. Information was passed on to each vehicle owner.

A caller in the 900 block of Seventh Street in Kalona reported Monday evening that his daughter either lost her cell phone or it was stolen. Officers spoke with the caller. The incident was documented.
A caller reported Monday morning that a vehicle’s tires were slashed in the 700 block of North Iowa Avenue in Washington. The incident was documented.
A student reportedly made a threat toward a staff member Monday afternoon in the 1100 block of South B Avenue in Washington. Officers responded. The incident was documented.
Family offense non violent
A caller in the 700 block of 12th Avenue in Wellman reported Monday evening his 14-year-old foster child would not take his medication and was out of control. While the subject was on the phone, the child began trying to harm himself. Subjects all spoke with DHS. The subjects were counseled.
A caller in the 500 block of South Second Avenue in Washington reported Monday night that she was having problems with her son. Officers responded. The subject settled down.
A suspicious subject was reported Monday afternoon in the 100 block of east Second Street in Washington. The subject was making hand gestures of shooting a gun. Officers were unable to locate.

A subject was reported screaming and cussing Monday afternoon on the bandstand in Central Park in Washington. Officers spoke with the subject. The subject will remove his earphones and stop singing so loudly.
