A two-vehicle accident was reported Wednesday afternoon in the 400 block of E Avenue in Kalona. It was first reported as having no injuries, but the caller later advised on the call back that one subject had head and arm pain. Officers, Iowa State patrol, Kalona QRS, Kalona Fire/Rescue, and Washington County Ambulance responded. One subject was transported to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Over $1,500 damage was reported. Donald Schomberg of Riverside was cited for failure to yield upon left turn. Lacey Lankford of Wellman was cited for no insurance.
An erratic driver was reported Wednesday afternoon in the 2300 block of Highway 1 in Washington. Officers located the driver and counseled him.
Someone reportedly set four bags of charcoal on fire Tuesday night at a barbeque display in the 500 block of Highway 1 in Washington, a caller reported Wednesday afternoon. No suspects. The incident was documented.
An officer was requested Thursday morning in the 200 block of South D Avenue in Washington regarding harassment on Facebook. Officers responded and will attempt to contact the other party.
