Arrests

Justin Leroy Goodman, 33, of Plano, was arrested Monday morning at Highway 1 and 180th Street in Washington for driving under bar.

Collin Lee Miller, 20, of Wellman, was arrested Monday night in the 2100 block of Lexington Boulevard in Washington for OWI.

 

Traffic accidents

A caller reported hitting the drive shaft off of a semi Monday night in the 3000 block of Highway 22 in Riverside. The caller’s vehicle was undriveable. Officers were advised. The incident was documented.

 

Traffic other

A caller reported Monday evening that a car hauler had run up into his daughter’s yard in the 1700 block of East Washington Street in Washington. Officers spoke with the driver who provided insurance information.

 

Burglary

A forced-entry burglary was reported Monday morning in the 800 block of 10th Avenue in Wellman. A TV, laptop computer and cash are missing. The incident is under investigation.

 

Fraud

A caller in the 600 block of North Marion Avenue in Washington requested an officer Monday morning in reference to a charge on her debit card. Officers responded. The incident is under investigation.

 

Intimidation/harassment

A caller in the 500 block of South Eighth Avenue in Washington requested to speak with an officer Monday afternoon regarding harassment. Unfounded.

 

Animal complaints

A bat was reported inside a residence in the 1000 block of South Second Avenue in Washington Monday afternoon. Officers responded. The bat was removed.

 

DP&Q

Loud music was reported Tuesday morning in the 20 block of Parkside Estates Road in Washington. Officers responded and made the subject aware of the complaint.

 

All other offenses

A phone line was reported hanging down Monday afternoon in the 300 block of West Fifth Street in Washington. Officers responded. It was a cable line.

 

Civil dispute

A deputy was requested Monday afternoon in the 400 block of Ella Street in Riverside in reference to items the caller’s ex brother-in-law wouldn’t return. Officers responded. It was a civil issue.

 

Welfare check

A caller reported Monday evening seeing a car in a ditch on Highway 1 and 275th Street in Washington. The caller also reported seeing a subject walking northbound from the vehicle. Officers responded and spoke with the owner of the vehicle. The owner advised he would get the vehicle moved.
