Rollin J. Bontrager, 23, of Wellman was arrested Thursday morning in the 3100 block of Johnson Iowa Road in Wellman on a Washington County w arrant for voluntary absence from custody.
Brayden Michael Boock, 22, of Washington was arrested Thursday afternoon in the 1400 block of West Fifth Street in Washington on a Henry County warrant for failure to appear for pretrial conference on original charge of second-degree theft and forgery. He was also cited at the same time and location for driving under suspension, second offence.
Jan Luis Gonzalez Rivera, 20, of Washington was arrested Friday morning in the 2600 block of Wayland Road in Washington on a charge of possession of marijuana, first offense. Luis Felipe Echevarria Plaza, 21, of Columbus Junction, was arrested at the same time and location on a charge of possession of marijuana, second offense.
An officer reported being out with an accident involving a car and a school bus, Thursday morning in the 100 block of East 12th Street in Washington. An ambulance responded, as well, to check on the occupants. There were no injuries and no transport by ambulance. Damage was over $1,500, and a state report will be filed. A Washington juvenile was cited for unsafe backing onto a highway.
A minor accident was reported between two juveniles, Thursday afternoon in the 1600 block of Highway 22 in Wellman. An officer responded. There were no injuries. Information was exchanged between both parties.
Traffic stop serious
An officer reported stopping a silver Honda with no plates, Friday morning at East Second Street and North Sixth Avenue in Washington. Ashley Nicole Tripplett, 27, of Washington was cited for driving under suspension.
A deputy reported being out with an occupied disabled vehicle, Thursday night in the 3000 block of Highway 1 in Washington. The deputy advised the vehicle was overheating and the occupants were going to try to drive it to Washington.
A deputy received a report of an assault, Thursday afternoon in the 1600 block of Highway 22 in Wellman. Charges are pending on a 16-year-old juvenile for serious assault, and on a 15-year-old juvenile for simple assault.
A caller Friday morning in the 500 block of North Iowa Avenue in Washington reported her neighbor’s two pitbulls downstairs were barking. An officer responded. No one would come to the door. The incident was documented.
A caller Friday morning in the 2400 block of Highway 92 in Washington reported a shoplifter and requested an officer. Jessie Lee Foster, 21, of Brighton was cited for fifth-degree theft.
A caller Thursday afternoon in the 1700 block of East Washington Street in Washington reported subjects trespassed on their property, an ongoing problem they had reported previously. An officer spoke with the caller. The officer located the two subjects, who were both advised they were not welcome on the caller’s property.
A caller Thursday morning in the 800 block of Second Street in Wellman reported damage to the service door at a business. An officer agreed to meet with the business owner later in the day.
A caller Thursday morning in the 300 block of West Fountain Street in Brighton reported a car fire occurred about 5:50 to 5:20 a.m. Someone in a white jeep stopped and told the caller, who then believed it was vandalized or someone was in it. An officer responded and also spoke with the caller by phone for documentation purposes.
A caller Thursday morning in the 2800 block of 130th Street in Riverside reported damage to her mailbox. An officer responded and the information was documented. The officer agreed to return the next day to assist further.
A caller Thursday morning in the 800 block of North Fourth Avenue in Washington reported a broken window in a building. The information was documented.

A caller Thursday afternoon in the 1100 block of South Avenue B in Washington requested an officer respond in reference to a theft. An officer responded. The information was documented at that time.
